Becky, oregano oil for skin! It’s amazing! Thanks for teaching me new things! ♥️🇺🇸♥️
ОтветитьBecky fermented carrots are great!
ОтветитьHi Becky, long time viewer, first time in a while commenter. It seems like your broth isn’t as gelatinous as when I make it. Am I doing something wrong?
ОтветитьWe raise Candy onions..My husband loves them we have an old refrigerator in the barn, wrap them in newspaper and they kept quite well.
ОтветитьSprouts have dried organic cranberries, I know for sure. I just bought some yesterday. I'm not 100 percent positive, but it seems like I've bought them at Trader Joes as well - usually seasonal, though. But I'm 100 percent sure Sprouts has them, if there is one in your area.
ОтветитьOhhhh, I’m so glad to see you using a dicing attachment!! I didn’t realize KitchenAid had one that fits the stand mixer. Very cool. My KitchenAid food processor has the dicing attachment but it goes into the processor bowl. Yours is even better for large batches!! ❤🧅🌶️
ОтветитьFYI the dicer attachment does not have a way to make the size of the diced fruit or vegetable. The size lever is for slicing only. Also the heaviest part of that attachment is not water submersible. Only the blade and the dice disk and the shoot are water submersible. Just don’t want viewers to buy the attachment thinking everything can be put into a dishwasher.
Ответить💙👍🏼🤗
ОтветитьHave you tried Candy onions? Laura from Garden Answer grows them and they come out huge
ОтветитьSo happy to know I can freeze the chicken broth, but what kind of container do you freeze it I . Can use canning jars or should it be a freezer back or plastics container? I have two rotisserie chicken bones and veggie scraps in freeezer now I would like to do it all at once, thank you for any tips
ОтветитьBecky I love cowboy candy! I have my jars clean and sanitized, I put 1 teaspoon salt and pickle crisp according to instructions.I chop the peppers then pack tightly in jar . Then I made my brine or syrup for my pepper , I cook it some until it gets syrup consistency then I pour it over the peppers. Place my regular canning lids and jars while the peppers are hot. Place a towel over them and then they seal from the heat. I understand it isn’t the way the experts say to can but my grandmother, my mother and myself have done this so over a hundred years and never got sick from it. The peppers are very crunchy ! For over a year but we usually eat them quicker than that!
ОтветитьThe view out your kitchen window is stunning! I love Azure dish & hand soap.
ОтветитьHearing you say you ration cowboy candy for your brother was the best part of my night 😂
ОтветитьThe attachment would be great for your pasties. Or baggies of onion, carrot and celery for the freezer. 😉
ОтветитьI made my cowboy candy just like this. I used red and green jalapenos and I put it in a big jar and refrigerated them. Still have some in the refrigerator and it's all good 😋
ОтветитьTrader Joe’s has organic raisins. Check out their dried fruits!
ОтветитьWatching you while wondering if my marriage is falling apart. And on vacation. 😢
ОтветитьI make a lot of broth as well and just discovered a better (for me) way to freeze. I found on Amazon a silicone cupcake like container that holds 6 one cup holders. They pop right out after frozen and I put them in a sandwich and then a gal. ziplock. Takes a lot less space in my freezer.
ОтветитьYou might be busy next year???? Girl are you trying to tell us something?????????
ОтветитьBecky, have always been sensitive to scents, but became allergic in 2019 to the perfumes in my my sunscreen. It was a miserable experience. Now if anyone has scented anything I have respiratory issues if I stay around too long
ОтветитьI’m looking forward to you & your mom doing a Thanksgiving video!!!
Enjoyed the video today. You get so much done in a day!!
I make my Chicken broyh the say way, with kitchen scraps, but i save my celery top and the bottoms with my carrrot tops and bottoms onion skins garlic skins ans roasted chicken from raw chicken and also rotisserie chicken as well. but freeze mine in qts as in don't have a pressure canner, at this time it is in my wish list.
ОтветитьWait. Can I use raw cane sugar in place of granulated sugar? I read about it not being great for baked goods because it doesn't melt as fast. Do yall have more details?
ОтветитьI was surprised you put the jalapenos on the stove. I thought you'd put them in the jars and put the liquid over them then can them. I wonder if that would give you a better texture. 🤔
ОтветитьYay Becky!🌹😽
ОтветитьGrow the Walla Wallas but a limited quantity so you could use those first.
ОтветитьBaking Soda makes excellent dish soap.
Carrots over winter great in my garden. After a freeze, they get a lot sweeter.
I have the same dicer and love it. Sure makes the chopping go face for big jobs.
ОтветитьHi Becky, good job on getting a lot done today.
ОтветитьI love doing no less than two years worth of everything that way I can grow different things each year other than tomatoes those are every year and fresh things such as lettuce, arugula, spinach and cabbage, freeze dried onions would be fantastic for using in so many things. That is a cool tool for the Kitchen Aid, for your broth if you have an electric roaster to allow it to cook over night is when it's really rich in flavor and it makes it far less hectic. I agree on the pints, I was always having to freeze left over broth from the quarts.
ОтветитьEven if I canned those peppers using gloves, I would burn my eyes, lips, and anything I touched for a week. The peppers looked delicious.
ОтветитьI get storage onions from the Mennonite farm stand near me. I get them in 25 pound bags, and they are Candy Onions. Quite large and sweet. I’m close to Canada in the Adirondacks. They should grow well for you.
ОтветитьI often make grape jelly out of bottled grape juice! It’s awesome 🤩
ОтветитьThat was a busy time. Onwards to next project 😊😊
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьTimes are so hard right now , I’d love to buy12 packages of Rumianos butter . I’ve never heard of that one. .
ОтветитьDo you use the cowboy candy syrup, I also can whatever is left and I use it for marinating chicken which is yummy. It’s what we are having dinner tonight 💜
ОтветитьI’ve been absolutely fascinated by your experience of milling. I’d never heard of wheat berries I think here in the UK they are called wheat grains (according to Google). I just love how you are willing to experiment.
ОтветитьBecky you cook so much so often continue to grow what you like and love. Life happens we can't stop it. Frozen onions are a necessity to have on hand at all times saves you time and stress. You inspire me to be more conscience about my food and my time. Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьCongratulations on the sponsorship! You deserve this and so many more endorsements. 🎉
ОтветитьSave the extra brine . It's so good to put in sauces, meatloaf eggs quich and a oh bunch more stuff
Ответить❤hi Becky, love the video..again 🙂.i follow your chicken broth recipe..it's delicious...yum..i have a bunch of it in my freezer ready for holiday cooking..thanks for sharing..have a great dat🥰😉
ОтветитьFrench onion soup ?? 😋
ОтветитьDo you freeze all items ordered from Azure. I just ordered some bulk spices. And rye flower. Would it be a good idea to freeze what I ordered?
ОтветитьWow, that was a busy day. Get a cuppa and relax.
ОтветитьHave you ever tried to caramelize the onions, and then freeze them. I think it would be so good to have on hand if you ever want to use them.
Ответить
