My most favorite player back in my childhood - i played matches Elber-Only at FIFA'97/98 when im right... <3 in my opinion this was the overall best era of Bayern München

I remember how incredibly happy i was when Bayern München finally didn't let a great Striker go to another League. Elber was already at Stuttgart doing phenomenal stuff besides Krassimir Balakov and Fredi Bobic. And after the failed Anthony Yeboah non-transfer...the horrific Emil Kostandinov loan spell....the decline of Jean-Pierre Papin....and the incredibly limited Carsten Jancker and Alexander Zickler....it was time FC Bayern München really started signing decent Striker.

After Roland Wohlfarth we really only had Jürgen Klinsmann who delivered...with Elber many great Striker woud follow....Roy Maakay, Mario Gomez, Mario Mandzukic, Ivica Olic, Luca Toni, Miroslav Klose, Lukas Podolski, Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane etc etc etc....
