Is there a version of this song without the awkward breathing in between the short pauses, or did they actually let that slip in the final recording?

Even if the release of Gothic 3 was a hot mess. the soundtrack that came out of it was fantastic.

I agree that Gothic 3 was different from 1 and 2 but i completed it 5 times. The last time was special, i didn't want to let it go.

Kai is fantastic composer!!!

With this Gothic 3 album composition Kai reached the level of music that is done by very few people like Matt Uelmen and Jesper Kyd imo.

I am from Germany and when I was 10 years old, my grandfather has secretly allowed me to play Gothic 3. So I came in touch with the series. Even though most people hate the third part, it is the one I love the most, especially for the soundtracks. It is a fantastic nostalgic feel to listen to the geldern night theme. Sometimes it would almost have me in tears.

Mory to same klopoty

Absolutely loved Gothic 3. It was full of bugs and crashed constantly when I bought it at release and stopped playing it because it just didn't work, but started again when some of the community patches was out. And it was a blast. It was an adventure I got instantly hooked on and didn't let go until the end. All those areas and their own set of background music. Phenomenal. Only a few games come close.

I will 4 ever listen to this masterpiece, even on my death bed 🔥

based af af af af modern game devs cannot mimic the spirit and ambience of fantasy games, they just arent able. VERY TRAGIC

This trash game is classic I love it. Also nice sandbox with cheats. It was my old game to replay this year. This piece of shit drives you insane... but the music does never disappoint. It is the thing that is making the memories wonderful

When things get a bit rough I always find myself coming back here, just to rest a bit, then move on...

This song really captures the atmosphere of a destroyed kingdom where, in any case, things are changed but not so much. Many humans thinks orca are better governors compared to rhobar, for others it's only work and to be slaves. Kai rosenkranz never did any mistake in melodies and theme compositions in Gothic, also the so criticized Gothic 3. I think also this song evokes a sense of "Gothic 3 it's a really missed opportunity, beautiful and with a complete sense of freedom but without those things typical of real Gothic style, like g1, g2, night of raven and also Archolos KM, too bad that we'll not see dzeje khorinis.

Ahh Gothic 3. I started playing Gothic 2 with 10 or 11 years old. got it from my older brothers.
One evening, there was an event called moonlight shopping in my city where they set up candles in our small little city center and the stores are open very late(normally uncommon here in europe).

Went into a shop and saw Gothic 3 on the shelf. I lost it, normally my mom wouldn’t buy me games but she agreed.
I can‘t explain how extremely happy I was that night. Wonderful game on itself. Not a really good gothic, but still great. But years later I am still in love with the music. Especially Geldern night.

Also the night in the colony music from G1 or the pirate music from G2.

This is my childhood song. Sometimes when I'm at work, or just chilling, I have moments when I silently sing it. Always in my heart.

I remember getting this along with Gothic 1 and 2 as a Christmas gift back in 2007 or 2008 when it was sold in the US as Gothic Universe. I started off with Gothic 3 based off picking a game at random. It was buggy and laggy due to the fact I played it on a Toshiba laptop that could only run Oblivion at a low setting. Still despite the lag and all, I had some enjoyment from Gothic 3. The soundtrack for it was one of the things to come to mind as a positive, including Vista Point and this track.
