That is japanese way of multiplication not chise way...

This method of multiplication doesn't apply to all multiplication of numbers. Therefore should be discarded. It's misleading.
Try 250 x 2 =500, using this method will give 410 which is wrong
Again 326 x 4 = 1304 but using this stick method, you will have 12824, which is wrong.
So, it cannot be rely upon.

It doesn't work for some numbers

Maths is worked from right to left, you gonna have a problem when you have to carry some numbers if you are from left to right

Don't count on this method,cuz it won't always work, a slight change in the digits, like replacing one or more digits with zero will make it wrong
