An excellent book. Went trough all of the exercises.
ОтветитьPrecisely dude! I used the other version of this book: Elements of Real Analysis due to sheer boredom caused by My Advanced Calc Instructor throwing off at us bunch of textbooks only to keep us busy..
Textbooks ranging from Schaums Adv Calc to Loomis-Sternberg notorious Adv Calc
Really bad pedagogy which is why I hope you can instill some wisdoms & thoughtfulness, into the psyche of nowadays Maths Instructors
I could say this book is basically my calculus 1 and 2 course. I’m mexican, and unfortunately, I haven’t ever seen this book in a library, so I use a pdf. In new editions there’s an introduction to topology
ОтветитьI HAVE ALREADY THIS AWESOME BOOK, REALLY IT'S AMAZING. YOU ARE A TRUE MATHS ❤️LOVER, I ADMIRE YOU FROM DEPTHS OF MY HEART. LOVE FROM INDIA.
ОтветитьCan anyone recommend a good book on Measure theory?
ОтветитьI use this book for personal studies in analysis.
ОтветитьThe book is quite simple to understand.
Its one of the best when it comes to clarity. Terence tao does a good job, but his own is quite technical since it is intended for honor students
Best analysis book is from Folland
Ответитьhi guys ! can you recommend me some books about numerical analysis ,pls .
ОтветитьHad this textbook for my undergrad advanced calc class, but it was the 4th edition. Very well written. I even made my own YT playlist using this textbook, but it's nowhere near on par with your videos lol . Another great book is Jay Cummings Real Analysis: A Long-Form Mathematics Textbook.
ОтветитьHave you ever encountered the massive time that is "The Handbook of Mathematics?" by Bronshtein? Any thoughts on it? I've always thought of it as an entire mathematics major compacted into one book.
ОтветитьI just got a copy of this book, will be the reading to target for next week. I like your video.
Ответитьis the solutional manual available ? please help
ОтветитьHave you considered running your book review videos through a program like ffmpeg or transcode to remove camera shake? If it were me, I would do that for all future videos. Hopefully you don't take offense to this comment, just trying to help you improve the quality of your videos, because I too care deeply about math education.
Ответитьyour face is like newton
ОтветитьThat looks like an interesting book. I will check it out at a library online. I hope it is available. That will be my idea of a bedtime storybook.
ОтветитьThanks For Sharing
ОтветитьThe thing that makes it open easily is being a 'sewn' book (as opposed to 'glued'). It really annoys the hell out of me that booksellers today just think of pinching pennies, and 99% of textbooks are glued (all of Springer's, for example), and when you buy them on the net, you just don't know what you'll be getting.
ОтветитьLove your editing 👏
ОтветитьThis is a great book.
This was the textbook in our course in my first Real Analysis course.
Though I have difficulty with Real Analysis still now, but I really understood this one 😬
I love this book!! It help me when I took Calculus I and II (and with the help of this book I can understand the Spivak 😹).
ОтветитьMathematics is quite black and white. Why to have several books on the same field of mathemathics, on the same level, as I understood via this video? Why mathematicuan lecturers do not create books on the same field, but on different levels? Like introductory (for engineers, etc), intermediate (physics graduate), mathematician and genious level? Or why not just one realky thick book with separate subsubchapters for these levels?
ОтветитьAs someone that was forced to take use Rudin way before I should have, I found Bartle's book and it really was written with care to guide someone through the process of learning analysis.
ОтветитьHeaps cool. My analysis book section isnt comprehensive enough i think. I will get this if i can.
ОтветитьI was really struggling in my intro to theory of one variable calculus class when you uploaded this video. I ended up ordering the book and I managed to get a B in the class when I honestly thought I wasn't going to pass. This book is fantastic and thank you so much for the recommendation!
ОтветитьYeah, what a great tour of this book. no kidding, to me this is better than a carnival ride.
ОтветитьIr You could choose only two real análisis book for self study. Which would be your choice??
ОтветитьLook at that beautiful looking book. That's what the binding of a math book oughta look like imo.
ОтветитьIT Costs 256 pounds on Amazon😭
ОтветитьIs this suitable with your real analysis course on udemy?
ОтветитьThank you for these videos.
I have a suggestion: is it possible to make a video recommending books who have only problems (with solution) especially for calculus (distributions)?
Uneven book. In later editions one of authors is really good. The part written by the second author (suspect Sherbert is the second author) is very bad, writing is opaque, provides neither motivation nor illuminating examples. Mathematicians tend to work alone, lacking communication skill required of good educator that explains why some math text books are pedagogical disaster.
ОтветитьNo book is comparable to OWN DEEP THEORY in concepts.
ОтветитьWhat book do you recommend after this one to advance forward ?
ОтветитьI think this book seems to be very famous. I also studied this Bartle book because of text book in my college.
ОтветитьI preferred Abbott's Understanding Analysis
ОтветитьMy class uses Rudin :D. And for abstract algebra we use Artin. Sometimes tough books help you gain more mathematical maturity, but sometimes it is nice to step back with easier books like that to gain intuition.
ОтветитьSir which is a good and simple book for multivariable analysis??
ОтветитьI found that the more advance Elements of Real Analysis by Bartle to be more readable, then his more elementary real analysis text. But this is a hindsight perspective, since I first learned single variable analysis from Abbot.
ОтветитьFront of the book we have
X sin(1/X)
Sir is their any real analysis book which has a proper exercise solution
Ответитьyou know whats been driving me crazy about analysis. in analysis its too easy to either mention too little details, or mention too many in proofs. I mean i sometimes did the latter in linear algebra but in analysis its something else. where do you strike the fine line in between.
ОтветитьThank you so much sir!
ОтветитьI have always been really good at maths until analysis got on my way..
The real deal with it is you have to dive deep in understanding each term and way of thinking
This book is still used as a textbook in undergrad real analysis course at U of I
ОтветитьThis is the book that most indonesian math major use
ОтветитьAnybody who writes a book under the name: Sherbert must expect his readers will only want to "dip" into his book.
ОтветитьPlease quit saying,”That was a long time ago.” I already feel old enough already and I don’t need to be reminded of my age!
ОтветитьUsed this as an undergrad at rutgers in 1990s.
