The obvious hint to know the difference between bible believing churches is to look at the pastor. The bible forbids a woman to be the pastor of a church or to teach men. ELCA needs to stop lying about Jesus Christ. He would never use profanity and He said that the world would not like Him so they won't like you. Hell Bound and your god is satan. And your church is demonic. No real Christian who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is going to your church. You leaders are going to be accountable for lies your are teaching. Plenty to dislike about Bolz Weber, but this 90 seconds actually was not too far off the mark theologically on my view - if a little over simplified.

@0.57 I dont think simultaneously sinner and saint means what you think it means as if someone flip flops between good and evil like a fish out of water or something.

Perhaps one would say they left a trail of destruction prior to conversion and have only just begun to pick up the pieces, but they would still be more or less wrong, I believe saint Paul had stated that when he wishes to do good he still does evil in Romans.

This doesnt mean that it is impossible to obey Jesus just that we are acutely aware of when we do and when we don't and unless we are more advanced than Paul (we aren't) chances are we are usually more often than not, not preforming at our best except here and there (if one were to accurate exegetate Matthew 7) us being 2,000 years later in a ever progressively morally degenerative society.

On that note I truly cant tell what might qualify as a truly good work. I dont believe it would be donating to goodwill. Trying hard to be a law abiding citizen doesnt compute either. First, she did not post this video, someone else did. Second, it’s just a snippet. This is likely a talk at a youth conference. First, ELCA pastors ALWAYS wear vestments on Sunday. Second, all ELCA pastors must attend seminary. Third, ELCA services ALWAYS include 3 liturgical calendar year scripture readings before the sermon, which the sermon is based off of. But you all can judge this woman on a short video clip? I was raised in a LCMS church and now attend an ELCA church. Stop the hate. She struggled with addiction before becoming a pastor. How do you know she didn’t get all her tattoos before becoming ordained?
