There is nothing -- NOTHING -- like the sound of a piston-engine airliner! DC-4s, 6s, 7s and Connies.....the sound of them still roar through my mind when I was a kid in the 1950s and 60s. Beautiful sound (and a beautiful shot of that DC-4, too!). Thanks!

Nothing wrong with this landing, most likely that the pilot was coming in at exact speed that he wanted and waited until last second to put down landing gear so he would stay at his preferred speed plus any wind that may grab the gear and maybe make his approach unstable. Just my thoughts
