I let someone borrow my sacrifice rakdos deck once. He didnt get all the lands out of the deck box so he was playing with few lands. He didn't notice that until he came close to winning but lost. It was hilarious.

Another fantastic episode! So happy Olvia one! To share my own mistake from deck building, my first edh deck gad 22 lands. It was Melek, and I didnt have a lot rocks either, just sol ring, izzet signet, and clue stone 🙃

Curious about end of turn effects, once the ending phase starts theres no more turn based actions and the active player has priority, so my question is would Georg have been able to cast spells after both the monarch and K&T triggers have resolved? With nothing else on the stack my understanding is it should have just gone straight to clean up step.

If I'm right though, you should be able to stack the triggers so K&T goes off before the monarch, and with the monarch trigger on the stack, cast spells with flash or at instant speed.

Not majorly game changing for the video, and probably something thats skipped over due to the casual nature of the format, but it would result in 1 extra card in hand when spells are reduced thanks to flipped Heliod

Is it just me or does the guys try to play for / "help" Olivia a bit too much? I am almost an hour in and I feel like it seems a tad annoying for her. Ofc I can be wrong about this observation.

Ive been wanting to get a play group together, but live in a very small town an hour SW from Wichita KS. I dont like large groups of people, so going to FNM or equivalent is out. That and only knowing one other Magic player than my kids (theyre all 17 years and older), leaves me with trying to invite people i dont know. It definitely keeps me from figuring it out.

Hi, @commanderathome @everyone I was watching this episode, and I got confused about something. I have played magic for a while off, and on since beta. My understanding of protection from (source) is that it can't be targeted by spells or abilities of the (source). So when Jarvis's creature with the aura was targeted, and he gave it protection from white, how did the enchantment fall off? I always understood it as once the enchantment is on, it is no longer targeting the creature as it is attached. Am I missing a rule here? Thanks.

Not trying to take away from their sponsors, but starting at 95 isn't really affordable for a lot of people. Zenni Optical starts at 15 and I've only used them for years. And I splurge, get exactly what I want, and it's barely 100 at the end with all the bells and whistles. Sorry guys, js
