When you hike that far and up and don't see anything until you get to the very top of the land it's amazing.
Exploring an early New England settlers grant land from the early 1700s made for a great hike today. This part of New Hampshire was settled roughly 280-300 years ago and what the colonial people did to the landscape was change it with improvements for cultivation and building rock walls everywhere. I likes all the way around the base of this small mountain hill and did not find much so I went to the top. Unreal ! all the way up here there are four foot tall walls in large squares. I did not even see any wagon ruts , cart paths or trails leading up here . I did not see any sins of where a house may have been like a cellar hole or stone foundation but you can see reading the landscape history they walled this all of here for livestock.
