New subscriber and an aspiring doctor! ❤
ОтветитьDoctors dont really work 24hr, especially when you have something called a sleep room. Its not like other jobs working 24hrs. Please!
ОтветитьWhen the cost of education and job uncertainty are this high then this is the result. The whole healthcare system is corrupt and broken. The quality of patient care has not improved while costs continue to rise. Hospitals charge ridiculous fees. You would think multiple doctors pulling 24hrs would change the system but it hasn't. It's unnecessary and counterproductive.
ОтветитьBuble ofr hanuman and khrisna lalrothang haoginlal
ОтветитьI work at the airport warehouse...and mostly i work in night shift...during the day after night working i can't close my eyes...just stay awake the whole day and go to work at 10pm untill 10am.. and suddenly diagnosed with High blood pressure 😂... so i changed my lifestyle... i quit smoking... quit drinking alcohol... i deleted my facebook and instagram....i quit coffee....i started ride my skateboard again 😂... lifting weight... and during day off... i just trying to relax and calm myself... and suddenly blood pressure back to normal again....😂..damn i nearly to quit my job...im scared and worried that my blood pressure getting worse because of night shift.... but this is brutal than mine...its 25 hours shift 😅 strong woman 💪
ОтветитьIt is a very broken system As a patient, especially if I needed emergency surgery, I do not want someone who has been up and working for 24 hours to treat me. A truck driver can not work hours even close to that because there are physical and mental effects to having no sleep so it is a huge safety issue, but doctors, who should understand the effects of no sleep the most, are forced to cut a person open and do delicate surgery which could kill the patient? I am not a medical professional at all, but just with the logical thinking as an attorney, that makes no sense to me, especially with the high cost of malpractice insurance.
ОтветитьYou’re amazing!
ОтветитьBless you and thank you for all you do..please try to take care of yourself 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
ОтветитьOut of interest would you prefer your residency lasted longer but worked less? I’m training in O&G in the UK, we’re capped at an average of 48h week (although some weeks can be 72 hours max) and maximum 13hr shift by law (for all jobs, not just doctors) buuuttt our training lasts 7 years and I’ve heard its much less in the USA?
Ответить😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
ОтветитьThank you for being so transparent!

ОтветитьEn México tengo entendido llegan hasta las 36 horas 😢
ОтветитьNot glamorous like people think
ОтветитьIsn’t is filming all these on top of all you’re doing hard ?
I’m grateful for people like you, and seeing this video does give me a better insight into your lives and how difficult it’s is💗 thank you for what you do 🙏 ❤❤❤
big deal, I worked 36 hours straight several times per month during my residency and didn't self-aggrandize like you. 24 hours shifts were pleasant in comparison.
I quit viewing your boohoohoo after less than a minute.
I gonna ask r you really A doctor I got A question if I can't really breathe that well should I go to The ER cause sometimes I feel like I'm gonna have A brain aneurysm and is it normal to feel on my back and my stomach and my buttocks pulsating can that be just my anxiety
ОтветитьGod bless you for this work you're doing
Ответитьgood and hard !!!
ОтветитьThis is nothing compared to indian residency in terms of hours procedures and patient load
ОтветитьI love doctor Rachel
ОтветитьGiving birth was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Although we have never met, I am grateful for you! ❤

ОтветитьI will soon make a video: day in the life of a geologist. (my life). working in nuclear waste industry. I promise, you will sleep very well when watching my videos. lets hope at least i dont fall asleep, otherwise there will be no video.
ОтветитьNour from morocco
ОтветитьThats not right they work a 24 hour shift and sleep deprivation can lead to medical mistakes
ОтветитьI have so much respect for you for working so hard in your journey to become a doctor and as a resident
Ответитьvarā?
Poteic sau bicc?!
As someone with 3 doctors in the family and one currently in residency, the way we treat residents honestly makes me sick. My dad sometimes worked 36 hour shifts with only a 1 hour eat/sleep break within.
Like who would even want a doctor operating on you/treating you if they’re overworked and haven’t slept in 24 hrs? Or are sick but still forced to come in to work?
Thank you so much this is a very insightful and realistic vlog. As an 'aspiring doctor' this is an unfortunate reality check, but I'm not going to let it discourage me ☝️
ОтветитьI am a flight attendant and I work up to 24 hour duty days not all ways but I feel the pain for nurses and doctors. No job should be over 12 hour duty days. 🩷 our pay is poor too
ОтветитьIt’s ridiculous the amount of hours they make doctors work.
ОтветитьDat is dan te laat na 7 jaar later
ОтветитьOi amor🤍🤍🤍😭😭..........
Ответитьits complete insanity to require that ammount of hours! so not fair and i so appreciate you all in healthcare so much
ОтветитьYou are amazing Doctor!
ОтветитьThat is a very ridiculous schedule. By the end of that shift the probability of you making a mistake goes through the roof.
ОтветитьI love how Rachel does not call herself an intern and calls herself a resident. you will have some doctors remind interns that they are interns and others I don't know people do whatever they want.
ОтветитьI absolutely love love love how Rachel takes care of HER yes herself in the shift and sometimes gets adequate sleep, nap, rest and take care of h er body mind and soul. we all need to learn from her and I will learn to take care of myself this way.
ОтветитьHey you are great, try to get some sleep. It will be worth it in the end. Just remember some day you can set your own hours. Hang in there.
ОтветитьDon't worry about your cardio workout today
ОтветитьI am a Paramedic and work 24 hour shifts 2-3 days a week. Not for the weak for sure.
ОтветитьI love you
ОтветитьWhat to do for prevent belly fat?
ОтветитьI would not like you working on me with no REM sleep.
ОтветитьI hope everything is better for you now. Thanks for sharing your life. Watching how people work and live, helps me to live better.
ОтветитьSo thankful for the shoutout on the intro. So proud of you and love watching your journey. You are crushing it!
