I really love that the radicals aren't just a monolith of "inquisitors who use chaos" but a wide range of conflicting ideologies, just likr sects in real life. It really adds so much more depth to what would otherwise be a pretty simple faction of religious zealots. The seculus attenuos in particular is super interesting: almost like the secular societies of the 19th century who, whilst still Christian, believed that government and religion should be separate entities

The existance of Istvaanians is so dumb. As if the Imperium is short of enemies or warlike hatred for them.

To me a bunch of edgelord self-inserts who know the Imperial Norm is BS but somehow have unlimited power in it kills the setting for me. Having these people who are above it all is too fourth wall breaking. It casts every other character as an unimaginative fool who doesn't realise they are living in a satire.

I'm fine with Inquisitors going radical but all these formalised sects is insane. How did all these Inquisitors gain such trust and escape oversight?

"Inquisitors have sometimes come to blows" seems so weird. These factioms should be annihilating each other. A single inquisitor is much more dangerous than most other enemies. I don't get it.

It’s funny to note how some of these factions actually get some of the deepest truths of the 40K universe… but then manage to completely misinterpret the appropriate curse of action that should come from them!

"In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace – and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." -- The Third Man

I've always loved how "radicals" in 40k can either be "we must use demons to save humanity" or "actually it's not that good that the church runs everything".

If you ever wondered who the Imperium's greatest enemy is, it's not Chaos or Xenos, it's literally itself. The Inquisitorial institution is one of the major reasons, if not THE reason, why the Imperium is on a steady decline for the last 10K years.

The most interesting thing about reading the Inquisitor stories in various books, is that while they are very obviously NOT good people, you often see flashes of the extraordinary person that they might have been had they not been born in the Imperium. Instead, their entire life and identity went into the appropriate machine, and was shaped to the Imperium's needs. I like inquisitors not because they are good people, but because they are often an interesting ruin of a person.

Are there Xenarites Inqusitors? I know that's more Cult Mechanicus than Ordo Xenos or the Inquisition, but I thought there would be a radical faction of the Inquisition that studies and uses xenos technology.

All the different factions add so much to the flavour of the universe and how they clash in places and during events like the Badab War. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the time and effort you put into making this video! It’s appreciated!

This video reminded me of my dark heresy group right when the rules for creating high level inquisitors and other similar characters came out. My group set up an all inquisitors game based around a large group of inquisitors of various ordos, factions, and methods forced to work together to deal with incredibly powerful threats. It was so cool watching the various belief systems bounce off each other. My character remains a favorite of mine a former noble woman turned interrogator then elevated to full inquisitor. She was a spymaster style inquisitor with allies, contact, and agents everywhere. All the while she often pretended to be a wealth incompetent and easily corruptible noblewoman with more gelt than brains. She was a ordo hereticus inquisitor of the polypsykana faction although she worked very hard to keep that secret.
