5 Cut OBLIVION Quests Whose Traces Still Remain

I have a feeling that Sancre Tor would have been part of the Blood of the Daedra questline and not Blood of the Divines, but with the quest cuts, and particularly the quest size cuts, they decided to revamp Sancre Tor for the follow-up quest instead.

Really enjoyed this. I kept getting notices about the Courier quest and nothing happening so thanks for solving that one. It drove me crazy.

I got another for you to solve sometime if you can. All I hear from a number of denizens of the Imperial City is about some uneasy truce between two families. Sounded like maybe it was a Hatfields/McCoy type of thing where you brought about said truce maybe and they cut it out and just left the dialog in about a truce in place and that was it? Endless dialog it seems. What do you think or know about that one?

Maybe the team behind Skyblivion can eventually re-add these quests back into the game.

The quest were possibly scrapped due to time,bugs,glitches,quality, downsizes.


When Oblivion was supposed to be released for consoles they downsized everything. Arenas,quests,etc. There’s a stage where they get to choose to what to keep and it’s implications.


It’s very common in the industry however in Bethesda it’s the norm. They experiment quite a lot.

Honestly, kinda weird seeing this kinda video pop up in 2024. Though it is interesting to at least see the new information being spread.

Ah the memories… Never commented, but watched pretty much all of your Oblivion content. It puts a big smile on my face. Have a good one mate 😊

To this day I still want to know what shady business was going on at The Oak and Crosier in Chorrol. The first time I went into the cellar and heard the dungeon/cave music I spent at least a good hour looking around for some kind of trap door.

I always hated that you can't do the weekly dark brotherhood contract yourself.

I had some fun with the Red Queen and the Black Queen, fused them as a character for a sort of C0da I dreamed up for my Oblivion character. Always like to delve through the cut content and obscure lore in these games to cook up my own endings

I literally played that "I gots that ogre DNA" questline on vanilla Oblivion ...like literally on the Xbox 360. Even finished the whole quest too. So I would say that the quest is at least 95% "intact" at minimum

Man to see that theres was a whole quest line for the council and then they cut it due to time restraints so was saddening

The funniest part is that almost all of this got cut to save space. Space that didn't need to be saved, Bethesda just forgot to delete a bunch of unused voice lines.

I think at least 1/4 of the disc space is just taken up by unused voice files they forgot to delete

I think it would be utterly hilarious if the reason for the Courier's foresight was that they have an Elder Scrollin their basement, just the thought of the local newspaper posessing one of the Reality Bending Titular Mystical Artefacts just so that they can put out the best stories ASAP would be so funny. But sadly we don't live in that reality.

As the head of a tiny studio, I love watching these types of videos while I work on our next project.

Barenziah was known for her purple eyes actually, which was why people think Karliah in Skyrim was related to her.

Maybe the Eugal Balette thing was part of a quest to try root out Mythic Dawn sleeper agents [Including Him] In each city or different locations and convient him saying he was new in the city and the citizens gossiping about him.

All these skyrim re releases and no elder scrolls dix, they should just remake oblivion at this point and fix the massive breaks and mistakes 😂

There’s another thing you didn’t mention when talking about Eugal Bellete. The Oak and Crosier has rumors about shady things happening there, and if you go down to the cellar, the game will play dungeon music instead of the usual town music. I don’t know if Eugal has anything to do with it, but it does seem suspicious.

Off to replay oblivion again, although now I just don’t know what to do for a build that would feel fun and new: after playing though the game fully several times though-out the years.

The Oblivion cut content has always intrigued me. Thanks for sharing!
