This guy is never consistent with his information and always quoting stupid studies.Last time am listening to him
ОтветитьWere the calories and macros the same for both groups?
ОтветитьFurther more, processed foods aren’t as satiating as whole foods and are engineered to trick your body into craving more processed foods. It’s worse than this video depicts. Thanks for the info!
ОтветитьCut carbs and sugar , eat more protein and fat and drink plenty of water stay at a calorie deficit
ОтветитьReminds me of a tongue-in-cheek "proof" that eating ice cream creates negative net calories, because your body has to heat it up. ("Proof" works by ignoring difference between calories and kilocalories (the latter commonly known, in the nutrition world, as "calories").
ОтветитьAccording to your videos, I should have vanished already!!
ОтветитьGreat stuff dude, cheers.
ОтветитьI eat only whole foods, drink 64 ounces of water a day, 32 ounces of green tea a day, workout including weights and walking, do a 12/12 fast and I still have a spare tire.
ОтветитьMy understanding is that water speeds up cell metabolism, if a person is a little dehydrated otherwise.
ОтветитьYou always say, “I’ll see you tomorrow”. Only … you never swing by the house.😢
ОтветитьDrink lots of water
Eat Whole Foods
Got it. Thanks!
Life on a farm is all we ever needed. Moving to a city, commuting, working indoors and eating garbage we thought would be 'the good life.' We buy a lot of stuff we don't need and then rent a storage unit to store it in. The older I've gotten the more I've realized less is more.
ОтветитьHi Thomas
As I understand it, you will retain more of the good stuff in eggs, if you cook them at a lower temperature. I prepare mine either poached or soft boiled.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Martin
Lov your videos and content Thomas Delauer 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Ответитьholy shit nice info but please fix ur mike, it felt like knives piercing my eardrums every 3 seconds
ОтветитьDon't forget chillies! 🌶
ОтветитьThank you for calling me out on the squirrel brain LMFAO I tend to do that and now that you brought it to my attention, I will forever watch your videos till the end. Much love to you brother. Keep up the great stuff in the info. You’re the best.
ОтветитьThere goes cals in cals out.
ОтветитьI didn’t believe it until I watched this! 😲 No exercise and still burning belly fat? 🤯 Time to try these tips! 💡💥
ОтветитьI mostly drink water (only 3 glasses soda a MONTH) and grew up w/ a mom who fixed actual dinners every night but also breakfasts and lunches - not to mention we raised own gardens, slaughtered cow n pig each year, etc).
I was still a fat kid, bullied for it by other kids, sister, her friends.
I helped w/ farm-life, aka not lazy.
So I call "hogwash"
Short attention span comes from constant [over] stimulation of dopamine receptors. When you limit/elaminate the constant internet/FB/IG/etc use and stop multitask, the attention span surely increases bc the receptors are now ready to receive information bc they are not getting pounded with useless activities anymore.
ОтветитьThis guy has been clickbaiting alot recently. Anyone with easy, fast, quick, zero, none in the title. RUN!
ОтветитьThank you so much ❤
ОтветитьInteresting! Would Sparkling water be ok?
ОтветитьI clicked so fast
ОтветитьThomas, you have a new fan, my CPA husband. He understands and loves to hear your explanations involving studies with “numbers.” Keep it up. In fact, if you had some kind of written out “plan” to follow, with meals and exercises written out, he would really be hooked.
ОтветитьThis is a genuine clickbait video... here is the summary: "Drink more water and eat less processed foods."
Other tips outside this video:
Unless you want to open yourself to uncertain side effects from drugs, stay away from any unless prescribed by your doctor, and exercise as best as you can, even if it's something simple or at home, such as pushups, brisk walks, or anything small to give you a better acceptance in being more mobile. The more work done, the more calories burned. Regulate your meals for quantity, time you eat, and quality (in other words, figure out how much food is able to satisfy you until your next meal, fix your times for eating, and change the quality of the food you eat to be high protein, less fat, and less sugar).
TD needs tighter shirts! 😂
Ответить*How to Drop Significant Belly Fat with NO EXERCISE (Great for Sedentary People) – Key Takeaways from Thomas DeLauer's Transcript*
### Introduction
Thomas DeLauer offers an insightful analysis into how sedentary individuals can effectively reduce belly fat without engaging in traditional exercise. While it may sound too good to be true, DeLauer breaks down the science behind some simple dietary and hydration habits that naturally enhance fat loss. By embracing these strategies, people dealing with sedentary lifestyles or metabolic challenges may experience significant health and weight management benefits.
Below, we outline the key takeaways from his discussion, supported by scientific research findings. These methods focus on optimizing your diet and hydration habits in non-strenuous ways to enhance your metabolic health.
------
### Key Takeaways:
#### 1. *The Role of C15 Fat in Cellular Health*
- *What is C15 Fat?* C15 is a unique type of fat important for maintaining the integrity of cell membranes. A deficiency in this nutrient can compromise cellular structure, making the body more susceptible to oxidative stress, premature aging, and metabolic dysfunction.
- *Supplementation Opportunity:* Due to changes in our modern diet, most people no longer get sufficient C15 fats. DeLauer recommends incorporating a C15 supplement such as the product “Fatty 15” to support cell structure, which potentially contributes to better metabolic health.
#### 2. *Whole Foods vs. Processed Foods: The "Thermodynamic Efficiency" Debate*
- *Thermodynamic Efficiency Defined:* This concept refers to the energy and heat cost of digesting food. In simpler terms, the more your body has to "work" to digest food, the more calories you naturally burn.
- *Study Insights:* A study published in Food and Nutrition Research compared energy expenditure between ultraprocessed foods and whole foods:
- *Whole Foods:* Boosted fat oxidation and energy expenditure, burning approximately *137 calories* in the five hours following the meal.
- *Processed Foods:* Reduced energy expenditure (only 73 calories burned in the same timeframe) due to their higher "digestive efficiency." Processed foods require less enzyme use and digestion effort, which decreases calorie burn.
- *Key Takeaway:* Eating processed foods regularly can significantly reduce calorie burn, leading to weight gain. For example:
- A daily difference of 64 calories (from processed foods) adds up to *almost 1 pound of fat gain per month* or **12 pounds per year**—despite no increase in total calorie intake.
- A single processed-food meal a day can still lead to *6 pounds of weight gain* per year.
- *Actionable Insight:* Switching to whole foods, even when consuming the same caloric intake, can naturally enhance calorie burn and fat loss.
#### 3. *Hydration as a Fat-Burning Catalyst*
- *Water's Impact on Fat Oxidation:* A randomized control trial published in Nutrients looked at the effect of drinking water on energy expenditure and fat oxidation. Results indicated:
- Individuals with metabolic issues (e.g., overweight, insulin resistance) experienced a *notable increase in fat oxidation* after drinking water.
- Drinking water in a *fasted state* (low insulin and low glucose conditions) amplified the fat-burning effect compared to drinking water after consuming carbohydrates or food.
- *Why Does This Work?*
- Fasting allows insulin levels to remain suppressed, enabling the body to oxidize (burn) fat rather than store it.
- Hydrating in a fasted state appears to accelerate this process further, helping individuals "flush" fat.
- *Practical Application:* To maximize fat-burning potential:
- Start your day by drinking a generous amount of water while still in a fasted state (e.g., before eating breakfast or having coffee).
- Avoid drinking high amounts of water after meals rich in carbs, as the insulin response may negate the fat-burning benefits.
#### 4. *The Compound Effect: Simple Habits Add Up*
- Combining the effects of eating whole foods with strategic hydration could yield significant metabolic results, even for sedentary individuals:
- Whole Foods: Increase calorie burn through digestion and fat oxidation.
- Hydration: Enhances resting energy expenditure and fat oxidation, particularly in those with metabolic inflexibility.
- DeLauer estimates the combination of these two habits could lead to an *additional 100–150 daily calorie burn* without requiring exercise, accumulating to *over 1,000 calories per week in added fat loss.*
---
### Conclusion
Thomas DeLauer's insights reveal that meaningful strides in fat loss are possible through simple lifestyle adjustments that don’t involve exercise—a crucial consideration for sedentary people or those facing physical limitations. By focusing on two foundational habits—*prioritizing whole foods over processed foods* and **practicing strategic hydration (especially in a fasted state)**—you can significantly enhance fat metabolism and improve overall health.
The overarching takeaway is that processed foods and insufficient hydration create metabolic inefficiencies, causing the body to store more fat while burning fewer calories. In contrast, whole food consumption and proper hydration “wake up” dormant or sluggish mechanisms in the metabolism, resulting in effortless calorie burn and better overall energy expenditure. These scientifically validated techniques are not mere "hacks," but effective tools that align with how the body naturally functions.
If you’re on a sedentary path and wondering where to start, simply modify your food choices and drink sufficient water on an empty stomach. While these habits may seem minor, their cumulative effect over time can lead to **impressive long-term fat loss and health benefits**—no gym membership required.

Ответить"Lean" in six weeks. This video is currently going viral in Chicago 🥤
ОтветитьDon’t buy supplements. Waste of money. Eat like your ancestors. Red meat eggs bacon butter. Do not eat fruit that is not in season and definitely if it’s not natural to your area. Throw the vegetables in the garbage and never eat them again. Do this and walk and you will drop weight . I haven’t eaten fruit or vegetables in 20 months. Has turn my life around, off all meds and maintain weight easily. 56 years old
ОтветитьYes eating Whole Foods is what most people do in European countries. When I visit France I get much better everyday foods—not full of chemicals or processed garbage. I always feel much better — less stressed, more sated, I walk a lot more to get around, and I never have the indigestion I get here in the states from the yucky bread, soups, sandwich meats, etc. heck even the fruits and veggies are not sprayed to crap or overly treated to last longer in Europe! I drink mostly water, tea, a little wine, and coffee—hardly any soft drinks or crappy milk products like I get here. I’m moving for sure. Already bought a small home in a small town to save on living costs as I ease into retirement. Peaceful, zero crime, great transportation options, wonderful food, lovely people, great culture and historical sites and things to do and study. Just an all round game changer.
ОтветитьDang, that's pretty cool. I guess as the old saying goes, "garbage in, garbage out".
ОтветитьI'm going to provide an extreme example here to illustrate a point that goes with TD's video. I've seen more people lose more bodyfat lying in a hospital bed for weeks than any traditional diet and exercise program. Stop eating the crap and rely on whole foods...take regular periods off from eating (10-12 hours) and allow for the natural deficit to follow, now do this for 6-12 months depending on desired leanness. Exercise 1-2 days a week to maintain muscle.
Ответить🙏😎
ОтветитьDoes cheese count as whole foods ?? 😅 just meat, fruit, nuts sounds so boring.
ОтветитьSO unique that is is common in cheeses and full cream dairy.
Ответитьmitochondrially "maybe not working so well" : well either you measured the mitochondrial function or you didn't , you just cannot say that "maybe" in other words you did not test , you guessed, in a science paper! the product may be fine, but you are trashing the argument.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьDo you need to be in a calorie deficit eating Whole Foods?
ОтветитьWatching this as I’m laying in bed …at 4:30pm 😅
Ответить$101.00 for 90 day supply, I stopped looking after that, but I’m sure shipping is in addition to the $101.00. That’s not exactly something I can afford. I realize health is important, but that doesn’t change the fact I still can’t afford $101.00.
ОтветитьThis channel is one big commercial for you to buy something
ОтветитьThank you for catering to my squirrel brain today🤣🫶🏼 Great content and reminders, per usual!
ОтветитьHey Thomas
Is yogurt, cottage cheese, and protein powder considered a process food or a whole food
Thomas' channel has become one of my go-to health spots. I have been doing Keto now for about 6 months. Before that, I did 4 months of counting calories, and lost .4 lbs a day consistently. On Keto, I have lost weight, but at a slower rate. Using that kind of energy is very efficient, I frankly can't believe how little I eat and am not losing much weight anymore. Scale said 199 today, was 275 10 months ago. Going to experiment with a very low-fat keto diet for a week soon to see if that will have some good results. But either way, I feel great ! It motivates me to do better the more health content that I watch. A low-carb lifestyle greatly diminishes your chances of getting a lot of the major diseases that we worry about as we get older, like diabetes of course, but also heart disease, and even cancer ( please go look at the research of Dr. Thomas Seyfried ). Of course, in this space, you HAVE to know Dr. William Davis' groundbreaking research on the dangers of wheat and all the health problems that it causes. I'm 57, walk up and down stairs all day doing my menial job, my back and joints feel great, and I have lots of energy.
ОтветитьLies.
