A Skeptical Look At 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance II'...

This will be the first game I’ve preordered in 4 years. KCD is the best RPG I’ve ever played and since then nothing has scratched the itch it does. Nothing comes close to what KCD does even other amazing rpgs because no other game is as immersive as KCD hardcore mode. No other game even tries to be as relentlessly realistic and historically accurate as KCD.

KCD is better than EVERY RPG I've ever played in my life. Yes it's clunky and buggy but it's the best RPG experience I have ever have in my life. Nothing ever come close to it. This game is a 10/10.

Should be noted that 250 is a pretty sizeable team. About the same as the in house teams that worked on Skyrim and the Witcher 3. And a sequel like this that’s somewhat iterative means there aren’t nearly as many resources going to developing the foundation of the game, and more to generating content using what’s already built.

I bought KCD on black friday for 4$ this was the best 4$ i have ever spent in my life. I even took 3 days off to play it 😂

kDC 2 is releasing soon I’ve never played the first one so I thought I tried it, $5 nothing to loose.. lol I am liking it now. I suck at it though... will definitely be buy KDC 2 .

Bought the game when the Holiday Sale was going on for around $8 with all the DLC. Other than the combat being a bit of pain to get into, the game is amazing. Can't stress it enough to pick this up during the sale on Steam, pretty much a steal.

After playing KCD it's very evident just how unacceptable Bethesda games are post Oblivion. KCD was War Horse studios first open world rpg. BGS should be outshining every studio out there with the funds and man power they have.

I playd on launch on i7 8700K & 1080Ti + 16GB RAM on Highest settings and never had a problem...Cyberpunk tho ??? Impossible...
YOU guarantee performance issues and bugs ??? Its first game I know when change release date to SOONER not postpone, the game is ready and playable at decent PC even consoles.
My causin is betatester, he doesnt have PC like me and it runs smoothly..
I NEVER buying games at pre-order but now with KCD II, because I saw gameplay, I spoke with my cousin and I trust in Warhorse and Daniel...they literally releasing game sooner.

afaik , they "finished" the game a few months ago and they're working on optimization and bugs since.
ALSO they showed gameplay with bugs and stated that those won't happen in the final product , looks like they don't try to hide issues .
i think it won't be entirely bug free because i never saw a bug free game but i'm confident .

Can't say I agree about the overlap of players between AC Shadows and KCD 2. At least, I am speaking about myself. If a game has a strong story narrative within, I'm game. The genre of game does not matter so much. JRPG, action adventure, CRPG, point and click, etc., it doesn't matter. That said, I will pick up KCD 2 well before AC Shadows. Then there's Trails Through Daybreak 2 that nobody talks about and that's my number one game of February.

I get where your coming from Luke, I didn't like the game myself at first (and as I understand this is the case for a lot of people). In the end they fixed the issues and made the game deliever to expectations and even exceed them considering this is a indie/kickstarter title. I would even go as far as to say that this game is probably the biggest kickstarter success story as far as video games go.

The way ppl act about dropping frames is like someone kicked their dog ...like calm down a good game with no micro transactions you should be jumping through yourself to play it

Kcd is pretty much what Bethesda should be today. But you know what I’m glad it’s warhorse and not Bethesda

KCD1 was 1 of the best games I ever played , was a lot of bugs but the game is a masterpiece and I'm going to be playing KCD2 for sure.

My typical KCD experience: 30 minutes playing a mission, can't save because I don't want to use a savior schnapp mid-mission. Travel across map to end quest and ambushed in 1 vs. 2 or more. Instant death. Impossible to fight more than one enemy at once. Lose 30-40 minutes of my time and have to restart it all. Repeat for every few missions I had to give up on the game, despite the story and game being fun as hell. 1 vs. 1 combat is super fun. But anymore than that is insane and strips all the fun and quality out of the game.

I remember the first game also becoming a victim of the SJW crowd, because it didn't feature "diverse" characters... in a game set in actual medieval, rural central Europe... you can't make this shit up.

Hope they improve the combat, combat agaisnt any nore than x1 person at once was a chore. Also less bugs. Hyped af for no 2 , if the put the same heart into it as the first we are in for a treat

I was very content with the combat in the first game, the bugs were few, and more or less were hard to recreate. (Getting out of Skalitz before the end of the tutorial)

I am looking REALLY forward for KCD 2. I will 100% pre order it. No regrets.

Considering that the game was supposedly 'done' in summer '24 already and since then they've mostly been debugging and finishing the dabbing, I believe we should hopefully get a pretty smooth launch and in today's not so great standards even exceptional. But we'll see.

To hell with your advice. I pre-ordered. Regardless of some bugs or some jank, I'm happy to support a studio that makes passion projects and cares about their game. If it is a bit buggy, I'm confident they will get it remedied.

This game will not launch 100% polished but 1 year later this game will literally play as a masterpiece 👌

The combat in the first game was rough when first starting out, that's true. However, when you finally master the combos and flow it becomes a symphony of death and it's amazing.

Kcd think would be my next why you should play video but feel like there's already plenty of those especially with kcd2 coming

No the food analogy is perfect lol it's not like going to a high end Mexican restaurant. It's going to a taco truck on a construction site where only one person in the truck halfway speaks English. That'll be the best street tacos or burritos you've ever had lol
