In the context of all the challenges and opportunities the world sees today, our Founder & CEO, Jacqueline Novogratz talks about the role of patient capital in transforming industries at a NYU Stern's MBA class taught by Professor Jonathan Haidt.

She uses the example of Ziqitza Healthcare Limited (ZHL), an emergency medical services provider based out of India -- and its growth from 9 ambulances to over 700, employing over 5000 people, and serving 2M lives. Jacqueline talks about the challenges ZHL faced in reaching scale, and the lessons they've learned along the way.

Through investing in over 80 companies in South Asia and Africa, Acumen has also learned the power of human capital, and the importance of building leaders. Jacqueline also talks about the importance of authenticity and being able to live in the grey, to put yourself in another's shoes and listen with your whole body.
