Wow, this was a very great interview. I liked how he spoke in terms that were easy to udnerstand. I am going to be studying P. aeruginosa biofilms this year, and one major thing I am wondering is: what procedure would I take in order to grow a P. aeruginosa biofilm in the lab?

is there anywhere you know of that actually treats biofilm infections with phage therapy or that can help someone with a urinary biofilm infection?

Wow, everyone, thx for your comments. Johnny, systemic diseases are much more complicated to treat. bdiddy, if you lookup "interstitial cystitis doctors" you'll find some answers; I've spoken to some NPs and docs that do this specifically; though the urinary ones are real bastards to treat. Don't forget about the dietary stuff too; cranberry, etc. Humble, ask your professor or boss on that one!

@bdiddy54 There is a clinic in the country of Georgia called the "Phage Therapy Center'. I believe there is another, owned by the same company in Tijuana, MX. Have you found and protocols that have worked as of yet? I'm looking for the same kind of cure... I'm taking antibiotics with an enzyme called 'Nattokinase', soon to be adding 'Lumbrokinase" and EDTA, among other enzymes and herbal anti-microbes. Anything that may have worked for you or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah right. you've lost me in minute one. Life is a thing which naturaly challenges obstacles and keeps pushing untill it succeds in overcoming those obstacles, or dies trying. It cannot be "engineered' like a building or an electrical circuit because it is unpredictable how the life will try to challenge it's enviroment.

Try Colloidal Silver at the nanoparticle level, Gold to break apart these biofilms, also the Beck Protocol with Ozone and electrical charge.

I suffer from moderate acne on my face and acne on my shoulders, chest and back. Could this possibly be a cure for acne?

Believe it or not, Franco, I know people that have rid their acne with wild (high propolis) honey by applying it to the face. I can send you more info -- email me though my non-profit, The Arthroplasty Patient Foundation. I can't put links or web sites in this reply -- Google won't let me.

I have a biofilm infection in my urinary tract.  Its completely resistant to everything.  I just contacted the phage clinic to start phage therapy. I'm hoping this will save my life.

"As soon as they find a surface that they like, they stick to that surface...".
Perhaps the surface (in our body) characteristics and how they get formed are also key...
===
Analogically, a bit like a limpet attached to a sea rock. They need an appropriate surface to fix themselves, and they need to be detached in order to be attacked...?

How do scientists/medical doctors/microbiologists/other know what bacteria are going to be targeted by a certain phage? Are there certain receptor/signal proteins to be detected and or recognized...If the question sounds stupid, i am not an expert, forgive...
