The internet changed everything. I want to go online, pick and option the car, pay for it and have it delivered to my front door. And have all the paperwork done online as well. At least have this option.
ОтветитьScrew the franchise model. This is one of the times where small businesses hurt the economy.
Ответить2003 E39 BMW M5 please. You can keep the m3
ОтветитьThis country is a piece of dog shit
ОтветитьI'm tired of seeing most cars predominantly in black white silver. Dealers too scared to stick any cool colors and so they play it safe. Want more color choices when buying
ОтветитьI know more about the car I bought more than the sales person
ОтветитьWorst experience ever. They are shady in giving you the price, always put unasked things in the car, push you to pay the 'dealership advantage package'over you throat and charge you for localization devices that will lower your insurance, add nitrogen to your tires and so one.
Ответитьwait, you can haggle the price of a new car in the US? that's kind of cool, here in Mexico prices can only go up
ОтветитьTexas really does screw the buyer. If you go on Car Gurus, most other states will show you the asking price and how much "above" or "below" market value that asking price is... not if it's a Texas dealer. The website blurs out if it's a good deal or not.
And Texas asks wayyy too much for trucks. At least 10-15% more than other states.
They're scummy for sure, anything to close a deal, especially if it's overpriced
ОтветитьIve been looking for truck that has just an analog radio player, manual windows, manual mechanical locks and door handles, no IPAD on my dash, regular analog instrument panel/ speedometer/odometer, no AI or assisted driving features, no sensors, no cameras, but havent found one yet.
I just want an engine, wheels, comfy seats and a cup holder.
I'll turn 60 this year and I have never purchased a new vehicle in over 40 years of driving.. only had three major repairs all told. Never been to the dealer for service or repair or any of that garbage 🗑️
ОтветитьNext time I’m buying car, Im offering the finance dude $200 cash 😂
ОтветитьLast time I bought a corolla, finance dude wasted 1.5hrs trying to force me the BS extended warranty/maintenance/GAP etc 🤦♀️ Towards the end, he changed my loan from CHASE to some random ass bank (without telling me)! I almost filed a report! 😞
ОтветитьPersonally, I don’t like prices of anything so I wouldn’t be comfortable just going on my phone and buying a car for 20k. I’d want to haggle down to 19 😂
ОтветитьImagine if we just had a car store to buy cars. “ excuse me, what aisle can I buy a Camry?“
ОтветитьI only buy cars off market place 😂
ОтветитьAh yes protect the predatory car dealerships that make money selling you extra bullshit that you don’t need and get people further in debt by offering extremely high interest rates
ОтветитьSo they're just saving them on our cost
ОтветитьMy personal experience with the UK dealership system, is that dealerships are more interested in selling you finance, service packages and various insurances than actually selling you a car.
Had a few instances where if they know you're not going to pay for the add on crap, they won't sell you a car.
Was quoted £750 ($1000) for a S4 annual fluid change service. Skoda dealership down the road did it for £200. Same VW group, rip off merchants.
Buying I Phones from the apple store is what keeps them expensive
ОтветитьI never knew this lol. In Europe we buy our cars from the manufacturer on purpose phones
ОтветитьDealerships are not essential at all, they are the same as a sneaker reseller… no reason to be protected by the government
ОтветитьGive up sex for a month😂😂😂. That’s because us married folk already don’t do it monthly.
ОтветитьThe only reason it’s illegal is some bullshit😂😂😂the government literally sucks all they do is oppress us and keep us deadlocked in modern day capitalist slavery
ОтветитьThey can get fooked. I’m not buying anything from a dealership.
I’ll always buy second hand and even if it breaks I’ll just fix it myself.
I’m not giving those crooks any of my money.
Fuck car dealerships
ОтветитьNow where is the bill that protects mom and pop supermarkets?
ОтветитьJohn oliver did a pop about dealerships.
ОтветитьThe whole new car buying "experience" is designed to distract, confuse and annoy you so you just sign everything. It takes 4-6 hours if you're lucky. I bought 3 new cars in my life and never again. Now i buy old cars to use for daily driving. Not only is the process annoying as hell, new cars have so many computers and sensors they are expensive to fix. Now i wont buy anything made after 1981.
ОтветитьMan, how I miss this weekly series!
Ответитьi just wanna buy the car at msrp
Ответитьyou dont need a 13 minute video for this... you can probably say "corruption" in less than a second and then just end the video
ОтветитьCarvana and Carmax can buy online
ОтветитьSaturns were sold at sticker price only
Ответить"capitalism breeds innovation" they said. No, capitalism eventually just becomes mandated consumption
Ответитьah, so its another effect of one of those "well intentioned" laws that "help the little guy". Like tariffs
ОтветитьBMWs are cars driven exclusively by paupers trying to show off in Germany.
ОтветитьFuck dealerships
ОтветитьPlease correct me if im wrong but i didn't really hear an answer on why we cant buy from the manufacturer. The only thing i heard was second hand sellers upset that they cant match the price of people that actually make the product. Besides the fact that companies can monopolize the market and charge whatever they want;i don't see a down side. lock prices plus taxes and everything should be fine. You want to sell more cars,be a good and honest person. Dont lie or cheat and they will come back to buy more cars from you.
Ответитьokay but that statistic at the beginning is wild 😭
ОтветитьWhy do they do that crap? This is a stupid law that does not make sense any way you think about it.
ОтветитьWhen I was young and naive, I bought my first car from a dealer. Now, I'm a bit older and slightly wiser and I realized there is 0 value add from a salesperson and zero value add from a finance manager and so on down the list. I'll bring my own financing and my own car spec sheet. Why should I be forced to pay for these guys salaries whom I have 0 need for, because it's law?
My second car was bought at auction. I hope to never have to go into a dealership again, let alone give them another dollar.
Same reason you have to buy flea pills for your dog with a prescription. I figured it was because of lobbyists but I know it’s about money.
We should be allowed to buy new cars anyway we like from anyone who is selling. Dealerships are licenses to steal.
It makes me mad whenever anyone dares to tell me I have to go through them to buy something. Don't you tell me what to do!
ОтветитьThere are about ten states with this dealership restriction, although Tesla has worked out compromises with a number of them. In Vermont, thanks to lobbying efforts by the Vermont Tesla Owners Group, the state's dealership statutes were amended to allow manufacturers that only produce zero-emission vehicles to own and operate car dealerships in Vermont. The first one opened in 2024 in South Burlington. Prior to that, Vermont's Tesla buyers had to pick up their new cars in Paramus, NJ, six hours away by car. For years, Tesla service for Vermont was provided by a Tesla Service location in Latham, NY, three hours away.
