Look, you need to reconsider this channel. Trump or another right wing person is going to declare themselves President due to a national Emergency, and that will be the final end of elections in the US. So, cover that.

Having supreme court justice elections is dumb. Judges aren't meant to hold political office even if it's "nonpartisan"

If Elon Musk would have never been involved in the Trump administration I think that the Republican contender would have a stronger chance.. but this completely changed the landscape for many potential Republican contenders because right now people are seeing the atrocities happening and given the fact that Wisconsin is a state that is heavily dependent on farming, the DEI acronym was overlooked by many, especially the one with the letter E, as it stands for equity and this is why some farmers are losing their farms and trust me. This has a domino effect that is instant.... there's going to be sources on Twitter that are going to lose credibility and people are going to start to follow the truth and realize what's going on.

So Wisconsin is a heavily gerrymandered state in favor of Republicans, and may be again.

Trump doesn't need to be tested, he already won. If the states don't vote the way he wants, he can just sign an executive order banning abortions everywhere and condemning people who get them to corporal punishment.

After 2024, women don't deserve abortion rights anymore. More women voted for Trump in 2024 than in 2020 even though Roe V. Wade was overturned.
If women don't care about their own rights, then neither do I.

Day 1,035 of telling you all that this channel has become pure democratic echo chamber cope.
This man proudly made videos after the Biden debate telling you all that Biden was still good to run and wasn’t going anywhere.
He told you all Harris would win even though that was plainly against the odds according to objective pollsters.

This dude is voting Susan Crawford in April and I’m so excited. I love my state and can’t wait to show the nation what we can do. Also correction, Trump won here by less than a point. Not 1.5, thank god.

Should be okay for the liberal side,Trump voters only come out when Trump himself is on the ballot, they probably aren’t paying attention to,or even understand the stakes, enough to make a concerted effort to get out the vote for the Republican one.

If I were to make a bet, I’d say Susan Crawford has a better chance of winning, and here’s why:

-Abortion will be on the ballot (this time for real)

-Trump won’t be on the ballot, so Republicans won’t have a turnout machine at the top of the ticket like they did last November

-Politically engaged/college educated voters are more likely to turn out and vote in special elections, and in recent years Democrats have fared better with more politically engaged/college educated voters whereas Republicans have fared better with less politically engaged/non college educated voters who are less likely to vote in special elections (before Trump and Dobbs it was the other way around )

-A significant chunk of less politically engaged voters who turned out in droves for Trump in the last election did not support Republicans down ballot. Harris voters meanwhile were more likely to support Democrats down ballot, hence why Tammy Baldwin was able to win another term in the senate on the same ballot as Trump. If these voters aren’t supporting Republicans down ballot, chances are they probably aren’t enthusiastic about supporting Brad Schimel either.

-Though Trump won Wisconsin in the last election, it was one of 2 battleground states that voted to the left of the national popular vote (the other being Michigan). So even if the honeymoon Trump and the GOP are currently enjoying lasts through April, that doesn’t necessarily mean Wisconsin views Trump and the GOP as favorably as the nation at large does.

The irony is that We had a Wisconsin Supreme Court Election during the beginning of Trump's first term in office and it wasn't even close. I think Trump is doing enough stupid crazy crap that Wisconsinites will remember what a mistake voting for Trump is. I hope and Pray we elect a liberal again and nail this court down. I think the next two elections after this year are Republican Seats.

As a Brit, I find the US legal system bewildering. Surely judges should be independent of political parties, their job is to make legal decisions based on the law, and should be impartial. What is the point of a justice system if there is no justice? If a Supreme Court makes dramatically different decisions because of its political make up then the law means nothing.

The funny thing about Wisconsin is that you’ve got a really good shot at winning an election as a democrat/ liberal as long as you’re not black. She should be fine. If you look at the last 10 years, almost every statewide election has been won by the democrats, two of the notable exceptions have been when a person of color was either at the head of the ticket or on the ticket in general. Mandela Barnes was the only democrat to lose statewide in 2022 and also the only person of color. Wisconsin boomers remain incredibly racist, though pretty closeted. There are enough of them that align with the democrats but can’t pull the trigger if the person on the ticket isn’t white.

Edit: realized this probably needs some context.

Brad Schimel was asked point blank if he would overturn the new state legislative and senate maps. He said that he would not if there came to be a case about it. I sure as hell don't believe him, but I hope he's not lying. Truly these are much more fair maps than they were before. The forced compromise that resulted in these maps should mean that neither party sees them as terribly bad for them to compete in (assuming both parties put the will of the people above their own craven desire for power).
