This is probably a good practice material. I would have wasted a lot of money if i started learning epoxy molding with a decent quality (expensive) resin. Its not fun to throw away $30 of material because you're not good at mixing add-ins yet.
Ответитьcan we cast brass ring if we make silicon mould like this??
ОтветитьI like the way you say air bubbles boy
Ответитьa water pick is a good tool for demolding stubborn stuck areas

ОтветитьI don't think silicone caulking cheaper than silicone anymore
ОтветитьI remember doing this in college but using slightly different materials. Murphies oil soap being one. This looks far more complex.
My 3D Art class was in a barn and the guy who taught it was an old hippie who smoked cigarettes during class! Ahh the 1990’s.
How to make your live harder then it should tutorial.
ОтветитьWhich is the material you sculpted the torso in?
Ответить20$ for a mold and calling cheap lol

ОтветитьGreat video. However, I'm sure you lose most folk when you say the word CAULK.
It is "Kawk" as in cork.
It is not "culk".
I hope this helps.

ОтветитьMan! This video is so gay. I like it. ;)
ОтветитьThank you,this was very helpful.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьVery useful video.. Thank you. 🙏
ОтветитьFor your first layer, I'd recommend a technique from oil painting "fat over thin", so adding a solvent to reduce the viscosity of the silicone. This allows for a thinner initial layer. It will also dry faster due to the solvent content, that will evaporative quickly. And as long as subsequent layers have less solvent added, your risk of the inner layers drying lower will be greatly diminished
Ответитьcan i make a mold of a mold? i just finished making my mold but i need to make another copy of it cause the og one is ruined
ОтветитьSuper👌🏻
ОтветитьDo you have to use a special releasing agent on oil based modeling clay before applying the silicone? If not, am I able to reuse the clay after for another sculpture?
ОтветитьPlease show youre making molting...not youre face..

ОтветитьToo much hard work for me
ОтветитьWhat an amazing video I’ve been wanting to do molding for like genuinely like 5-10 years but it’s always been financially and feasible for me to kinda play around with
ОтветитьHas anyone tried to count how many times it can be used such a mold? I would like to make some pieces of decorative brick for myself, not thicker than 2 cm. Can special RTV silicone for molds be the cheaper option for multiple use?
ОтветитьHi! Can I use this method for a small missing part of a plaster (on wood) picture frame? Hope it will not take off the other part of the frame by sticking to it 🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьI’ve seen one guy use cornflower in the silicone for extra suport but u have to work faster as it sets the silicone faster
ОтветитьHardly anyone’s questions have been answered. The guy should work a little harder for his commissions.
Ответить½ hour per day?
Perfect, about the length my attention span
Love this!
So helpful..
Thank you😊🙏
Dubious of the soapy water. I use denatured alcohol. Keeps the silicone from stcking and completely evaporates between layers.
ОтветитьAnother favorable thing to do is use more than one release agent. I use Minwax mixed with mineral spirits.
Ответитьcan you make a sculpture of my Step Son who passed away?
ОтветитьIs silicone vapour toxic?
ОтветитьWow - such great details! Now I know why molds are so expensive to buy! Thank you for this presentation, I'm pondering starting this craft in near future :)
ОтветитьI watched this whole video and still don't understand what he did. Too many steps.
