You're an amazing person. I'm horrible with words but in a perfect world you'd be in my small circle of friends. Sending love!
ОтветитьFor some reason this makes me want to make videos where I just ask people questions. By people its just me looking in a camera talking gently. Idk random thought. In other news she makes me very very calm
Ответить1. I tidied up my room 2. called my grandma 3. making plan for 2021
Ответитьi felta warm hug by just watching her speak <3
ОтветитьI really love your voice, thanks a lot for advices.
ОтветитьI think the pandemic has forced us to live the simple life we once lived and have missed a great deal. Life just got way too fast and complicated with way too many expectations. It is no wonder mental health issues have become the other pandemic - somehow we all headed down the wrong road. Bring back creativity and make it a top priority because that is why I think we were happier once.
ОтветитьI really struggle with my ADHD currently and I had planned on trying to set little goals for myself every week. And then of course since I didn't get in the habit immediately I forgot about it again, as is to be expected with ADHD. This is a great reminder right now. I'm glad I stumbled across your channel and decided to watch this today, because I will make a reminder right now to buy a journal to help me keep track of things.
ОтветитьWow, this video made me tear up a little, sometimes it feels like what goes on internally in my mind is out of control and that nothing is gonna change it. Your words really put me at ease and reminded me that there are things I can do to help myself. The kindness you gave out has made me want to focus more on being kind to myself and others, thank you.
ОтветитьI told my crush about my anxiety today and he reacted incredibly sweet and understanding
ОтветитьI never get tired of listening to this video every time I feel lost. 😌
Ответить...the one thing I did today was get started on an English assignment due on Sunday as I tend to procrastinate. But, I got started!!! Yay!!! 🤩
ОтветитьI haven't done it yet, but I'll be taking a shower before work and taking care of the dishes. Your videos always help ground me and are a great source of motivation for taking control of my day. I've been having a hard time taking the next step forward in my life and I've been working through changing my attitude from "this it out of my control" to "there are steps I take to make this viable for me." Thank you
ОтветитьThe exhaustion of these past years became so much I got insensitive to exhaustion. I tought I was doing mostly fine, but the gentle words, the gentle ideas and the lovely music made me want to cry. Thank you for the warm encouragement!
ОтветитьThank you Cathy ..
ОтветитьMy small thing today: I have written out the rest of my week in my planner and I already feel better.
ОтветитьI specifically am taking my time today to do what I need to do, without rushing everything in a panic of: what if I can't do everything at once. I'm also setting time aside to stop and work on a "happy project" this evening so I can relax.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьYour voice is so gentle and calming. I'm adding those points to my journaling.
For me I thrive on music and often turn to Tim Janis for calming. His videos have gentle music but also beautiful birds and flowers.
this weird year has given me the time to focus on my inner self more then normal. i just moved in with my lover , and was a bit worried how the issolation and lack off social life would affect us , but that turned out to be no issue at all... we were able to live and be happy througout this tough year. the free time was spend with setting a firm base for our life together and spending time on hobbies {sewing in my case , forging for my love} we wil be fine! today i made a warm and fluffy cardigan.....
ОтветитьYou remind me of a cool supporting character in a period movie. Also, thank you for the advice. I may try it.
ОтветитьLove, love, love!
ОтветитьFinish one task. Straighten my bedroom.
ОтветитьTomorrow has a lot of unknowns, and I have been stressed out over the day after. However, I get to see my Mother the second time since November 6, tomorrow. Michigan rules kept her safe this winter.
This is a wonderful treat. She’s 86 and survived a life threatening car accident in summer 2018. She and I never have had such a good relationship as now. All a gift.
There is an unclear amount of things to do to prepare for that following day, but as for now, I am
I have been very on edge and constantly stressed this last week. Yesterday I bought a switch game called Spiritfarer that I heard about as being a cozy/relaxing game to play.
It was very nice to play this new game that's focus is about being kind and making friends with the spirits and helping them.
I bought fabric before the lock down last year, this lovely blue and pink flower, swishy knit fabric. I very much love summer dresses. But they never come in a length/shape that makes me happy and fits properly. So the plan was to make it in the spring while the kids were at school and have it in the summer. And then lock down, home school stress and anxiety. And then just as that seemed to be getting better I had a car accident one that if any single thing had been different that day would have been catastrophic and likely fatal, but the only injury I suffered was a broken tibial plateau. I had surgery and a plate and pins to put it back together. It's been almost 9 months of therapy, and I'm starting to learn it's never going to be right again. I had nearly forgotten about my lovely fabric, my perfect summer dress, until this morning. I found the fabic, and took it out I unfolded it, and inspected it stretched it, swished it. It makes be just as happy today as the day I bought it. I need a win. I need a modicum of control. I need some tiny thing that's just for me. So it's out. I have no time to deal with it today. But it's out, I will not forget it. We are in lock down again for the 3rd time. So it will be tiny baby steps to do it, but Hopefully it will be done in time for my 12th wedding anniversary (which is a really big deal because save for my grandparents no couple on either my side or my husbands side has made it past 11) And I haven't had new dress since my wedding dress, So that is something to look forward to, even if there's no where to go.
ОтветитьPlayed with my little cat. I brush her and then she cozies up in my wool jacket while I do my yoga. It makes my day!
ОтветитьYou are amazing. I love you Cathy xx
ОтветитьI took a nap, iam visiting a friend (took a week off for that) and i said i would accompany her to do shopping, but after a walk i was beat. So i felt a little guilty as i said last minute "hey iam gonna take a nap, we can either shop later, or if its fine go on without me". She was totally fine with it and went shopping, i took an 1 hour nap and felt good, we baked bronies later.
Listen to ur body, it is worth it
❤️Finishing one project at a time. Love you and Thank You❤️
ОтветитьI wish I had a proper bath! It's too small! I have selected a tub for a future house. Today my plan is to get to work on time with a good mood. Not rushing.
ОтветитьI always seem to forget how empowering it is when I keep things simple. Thanks for this reminder 💜
ОтветитьCathy Hay gives off such comforting 'cool aunt' vibes
ОтветитьI am very much an introvert and an empath. So many of your videos have helped me during this difficult time as well as my own difficult time of coping with the death of my adult son. I am grateful for you and your calm videos. I am completing the purchase of a 1910 Singer Redeye that hopefully will be with me next week. That is my thing to complete and its restoration will be one of my many projects for this year along with duplicating my great-grandmother’s armistice blouse I have a photo of her wearing when she was my age, 62.
ОтветитьI just love listening to your videos, you have a lovely way with words and your voice is so relaxing to me. I could listen to you read the dictionary and find joy in it.
ОтветитьCathy Hay, have you ever thought about recording yourself reading a book or a short story? Maybe about victorian clothing or victorian era subjects. I find your voice is so calming and I love listening to you speak. If ever I'm feeling really stressed, I put on one of your videos and within 5 minutes of listening to your voice, I'm calm and collected. I would love to listen to you read a short story or something like that.
ОтветитьWhen I was getting ready to sleep tonight, I wasn't feeling well. I got up from my bed to meditate. Later I did yoga and I did some sketches and read a book. I told my friends not to give me advice about school because it made me feel useless. I don't like being reminded of the things I will do in my life. Today I wanted to start all over again. I feel safe right now. Thank you for your video and speeches. ❀❀
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьMeditation for 20 mins/daily.
ОтветитьI had a shower, I feel cleaner. I put on moisturiser, I feel fresher. I will eat my fruits and vegies, I'll feel healthier. Hopefully this will bring the clarity I need to get through the day.
ОтветитьI took a walk without my phone with me. Thank you for this video, Cathy. Your words and suggestions allowed me to appreciate the very small achievements and credit their value. You don't know how much this video helped. :)
ОтветитьToday us July 2021. I live in America. This message is still timely. Today, i am going out to weed my garden.
Then i plan to make spaghetti sauce to pressire can it tomorrow for my son and hid lovely lady.
I feel like I'm listening to a caring aunty, thank you and bless you
ОтветитьLovely words, but feeling doom and drained and flat and want to run away and not face my misgivings. My poor family are so supportive but i just can't face anything and I'm in a critical situation of just get by or break everything I love and care about. Wallowing in despair.
No such thing as magic, burying my head in the sand will just amplify problems, got to man up soon or drown
To those of you who are revisiting this video, I recommend an app called Amazing Marvin, made for people like us. It has all strategies u can think of that you get to choose if and which you want turned on or off, thus creating your own little tailored app for your needs within the app. It also has other great features like smart lists (automatically changing lists based on pre-set filters), recurring tasks, master list and much more. I highly recommend it. Thanks to this app, alot of my stress, anxiety and burnout syndrome alleviated for the first time in i can't remember how long. And I think it is because i had goals set, a place to dump all my tasks and thoughts, a place to do daily brain filtering and have intentions for the day, weeks and months. Having an app that does the thinking, scheduling and remembering for you is very helpful in feeling in control amidst chaos.
ОтветитьI am going to hug my baby boys a little longer today.
ОтветитьI really needed your video this morning.
ОтветитьAlthough this video was meant for the pandemic and how difficult it was, this was incredibly helpful for giving me perspective about my current life, so thank you Cathy
ОтветитьI washed my garden tools. I had wanted to wash them last autumn before storing them for the winter and then when that didn't happen, I intended to wash them before use this spring. Today is the 7th of July 2024, and I finally washed them after moving a heap of compost and transplanting two hostas. Those tools were finally put away clean this afternoon.
