Then put something.
ОтветитьThe parts of the eastern seaboard I worked building houses, they call that deadwood.
ОтветитьNever heard term deadwood or sheetrock backing. We always just called it a nailer or nailing for the sheetrock. Deadwood kind of makes sense to me...interesting term
ОтветитьHeavens to Betsy!!!!! Damn carpenter put up thousands of boards and forgot one!!!
ОтветитьThe only time i think about drywall backing is when i have to cut it out, so my 2 6" pipes can fit in the 10" of mechanical space engineering gave me.
ОтветитьIf you have ever framed a building even something as simple as this- there is always going to be something missed. A set of blueprints might be 2’x3’ and 60 pages. A carpenter has to get everything on every page in.
Good luck.
And why is the pipe not sitting on top of the 2x6’s? Seems like a lot of extra work having to drill through them
ОтветитьThe wall will
Support the edge
They also forgot to put a nail plate under the dead wood
ОтветитьGotta have that dead wood.
ОтветитьAlso, a very easy fix
ОтветитьAlways calling out mistakes so annoying I swear you can do everything right and someone will find something they didn’t do why don’t you just teach the guy and stop complaining.
ОтветитьSo, no steel plate to protect the plumbing?
ОтветитьIt's only a courtesy
Ответитьa carpenter is responsible to make the house structurally correct according to plans..... not to make other traits job easier by adding "backing, deadwood, or whatever term you want to call it. if its not in plans doesn't need to be done.
ОтветитьWhy is that pipe going through the ceiling joist?
ОтветитьHow the hell you sign off on jobs like that it’s unreal
ОтветитьIt's called "DEAD WOOD"
ОтветитьYou should see The Nightmares I have to deal with, I work for a father and son neither of which knows how to frame and they both abandon their projects halfway through
ОтветитьDeadwood....
ОтветитьDead wood
Ответитьnail .. piece
ОтветитьDrywall backing? Nobody calls it that you mediocre excuse for a builder
ОтветитьThe drywallers will figure it out and keep moving. Least of the worries on a new build
ОтветитьI call em nailers
Ответитьwhy6 the fuck is there a header in an interior door....did you not notice that? why is the pipe going through the trusses?? the fuck kind of build is this?
ОтветитьWhat kind of wood is that?
ОтветитьIs ABS pipe just a California thing? I didn't know anyone used white pvc for waste
ОтветитьIts called dead wood rookie
ОтветитьA nail piece.
ОтветитьGuy has no clue go back to your office leave the work for someone who knows what he’s doing
ОтветитьConsidering they don't have to do that was nice of em
ОтветитьBut why
ОтветитьAs a carpenter, I almost always miss at least one drywall backer. What separates a great builder from a decent one is #1 availability for subcontractor problems and #2 a pick-up guy to fix these issues.
ОтветитьWe call it deadwood
ОтветитьPoor explaining, what was the point of this video
ОтветитьJFC. Could not be bothered to pipe it
ОтветитьSo go put a piece on bubba
ОтветитьWhy is the plumbing going through that joist. That's not how plumbing is done unless somebody really messed up in the rough plumbing. I wouldn't buy that house after my inspector comes in. Always get your new home inspected at every stage of the build. Hold your builder to doing Everything correct.
ОтветитьThey used to sell drywall clips for this purpose. Wasn't meant to be used all the time but as a backup if needed.
ОтветитьIt’s Called a “nailer “.
ОтветитьIt’s called a nailer 🤦♂️
ОтветитьIt’s called a nailer. Drywall backing? Is that what they call it on planet Claire?
ОтветитьIt is called deadwood
ОтветитьOh my God he forgot one it happens
ОтветитьAlways something ahh!!
ОтветитьHalf assed carpenters think deadwood and nail plates are the homeowner's responsibility.
Ответить??? Thats normally the drywall team's job.... wtf
ОтветитьYou sound like a crybaby, I bet you’re the type of super that forgets to order material and that’s why backing was missed
ОтветитьWhat about all that plumbing that is running through the all the ceiling joists. Don't think that's code buddy
Ответить
