- Powerful line for Obi Wan, who can't imagine the pain and sadness he felt, when his apprentice turned to the dark side, but somewhat still conflicted as well, on both sides.

Palpatine spent Anakin’s Jedi days turning him into a monster. That was all he cared about. That was all he wanted

I love this fight

I’m blessed to say I was there on opening night. The hype around this movie was eerily similar to ROTJ because everyone had so many questions. All the OG fans were looking forward to finding out how Anakin became the masked Darth Vader. No social media or spoilers were around back then so no one knew what would happen. I remember when Anakin got sliced up and burned, everyone gasped in horror and just sat there in DEAD SILENCE. Everyone had the whole “what just happened” look on their faces. Obi-Wan’s emotional reaction was what really struck the hardest. Truly a memory I’ll never forget.

I never understood why anakin didn’t just say okay you got the high ground we’ll meet again a different day, instead you underestimate my power and here we are 😂

Weird Obi-wan didn’t put Anakin out of his misery when he was getting fried, rather he just watched as if there was nothing he could do 😂
