Close call for this old Boston Whaler. In my opinion, the captain remained calm and handled the situation as best as he could under the circumstances. It’s unfortunate he didn’t have enough PFDs, though. What do you think of his response to the emergency?
Ответить"IC: Dispatch, incident can be handle with existing units on scene. You can cancel all other responding units."
Dispatch: "RP states there are two hot chicks in bikinis".
IC: "Continue all units, code 3"!
FACT: Any boat or any motor can fail at any time. Caution and common sense go a looooong way!
ОтветитьThat one woman can't stop looking at her stupid phone
ОтветитьIs that the same boat that is always dicking around .
ОтветитьJust glad our government agencies are communicating so well with each to avoid overlap, duplication of efforts, etc.(hint of sarcasm ). While training is important, do we really need this many agencies to 'train' at the same incident ? I u/s the need to perhaps respond with more than one vessel or even agency, what stinks is your tax dollars ( mine too ), are paying for quadruple - or more - services. Seems like the USA never learned our lesson after 9/11 - one of them being to improve and streamline emergency responses. And people look to the government to solve their problems, yeah, right, that's not going to end well when we do that.
Maybe it was a slow day and the teams just wanted to get out and get some action. But when multiple other agencies are onsite already, it looks like the 5 stooges.
Why bring a pond and lake boat out there?
ОтветитьFirst thing that Maritime Cop moron should have done was get Everybody in His vessel then deal with the boat😂😂😂 have to remember it's Florida😂😂😂😂😂
Ответитьun popular opinion but yeah, excessive in my opinion. Do you know how much it costs to fly a helicopter? I heard 10 cents everytime the rotor goes around. There was a lot of tax payer money flying around out there. I mean hey, if you got the killer hardware you wanna go use it right?
ОтветитьMust be the same the world over, if there’s a road accident in the uk the amount of police that attend is unreal, my theory is that it will use their entire shift up so they don’t have to do anything else 😂
ОтветитьWHEN ARE PEOPLE GOING TO STOP TAKING BOATS THAR ARE NOT NADE FOR THE OCEAN INTO THE OCAEN?. STUPID SEEMS TO BECOMING NORMAL IN TODAY'S TIME. 1
ОтветитьYou go off shore in a boat of that size, you should have at least 2 gas tanks. Would have made for a short video though.
ОтветитьThe rescue units are all paid for by your tax dollar, theyre all just sitting there doing shit most of the day anyway, looking who to mess with, let them do their work.
ОтветитьYes, a radio but in reality everybody's carrying their cell phone,
ОтветитьBoats sinking?
Thank God for bikinis.
Rediculous number, just getting in each others way.
Ответитьeveryone was having a slow day need it some action lol
ОтветитьI could care less if people bitch and complain about to many responders. F them who give a $hit to what others say. Just because they like to eat a bucket of &icks, I ain’t going to hate on them.
ОтветитьI think it’s a good thing to have this kinda of emergency response
Ответитьunsinkable but
capsizable
pitch poleable
drownable
break in halfable
This tells me that they didn't have anything else to do.
ОтветитьIm sure the excessive response had nothing to do with the girls.
ОтветитьSeriously, they don't even put on life jackets properly!!!
Ответитьdopey cap didnt even put on a pdf until the police told him to- big bucks to the tax payers
ОтветитьToo cool to Don life jackets?
Ответить
Remember the Titanic, everything sinks. The boat was too shallow of a drafting boat, not appropriate for those seas , his crew was inexperienced. No excuse he put everyone in danger.
ОтветитьWhat bystanders often don’t realize is that a situation like this is good for training and keeping people sharp and reaction times low.
ОтветитьAs many agencies as necessary, this was not necessary it was really cool that they pulled the boat back though
Ответитьall they had to do was tow it in, good grief
ОтветитьКуча лодок подошло, молодцы 👏
ОтветитьWith an SHG Atlantica pump on board, both problems could have been solved at once.
SHG pumps are Bavarian quality products from Spechtenhauser Pumpen GmbH.
There's nothing in the video to indicate that the boat was sinking - it just got a little water splashed in it. Boston Whalers are basically Igloo coolers sheathed in fiberglass. If you cut them up into six pieces, all six pieces would float. I suppose if you had a small enough piece of that boat that was tied to the transom, the engine would sink that piece. Short of that, it's just physics - yes, its unsinkable.
ОтветитьIt's not excessive help if it's your own kids. Of that I'm certain.
ОтветитьThe helicopter was a bit excessive unless they were already in the air. Their fuel is very expensive. Being ready to deploy would have been good.
ОтветитьIf that guy got stranded on a desert island he would pray to never be found
Ответить$150k in costs to rescue a boat with a flat battery 10 mtres from shore lmao yeah that is really worth the expenditure
ОтветитьOne thing he knew nothing about boats u can tell ..if his motor kept shutting down its cause he has water in the filter water separater 😂😂😂😂 an he sunk cause they didn't warn anyone they was having boat trouble an let them boats pass them on top
ОтветитьOh, so that's what that little rubber cork looking thingy was that I thought was trash, a plug.
ОтветитьAre any of them a row boat.
Ответить"It's just tax payer money and we had nothing else to do!"
ОтветитьSharks need to eat too!
ОтветитьIf you got a report of two ladies in bikinis needing help, wouldnt you show up too?
ОтветитьThat looks like a baby boat. I wouldn't go too far out in that.
ОтветитьAll boaters run out of luck eventually. The most prepared of us will still have a dead boat someday while on the water. That being said, placing yourself in unnecessary risk is reckless and dangerous. If they did not have a legitimate need to be out there in that tiny boat then they shouldn't have been. Like always, we learn lessons the hard way. If enough time goes by, we learn them again.....
ОтветитьКуда люди на речных лодках прутся в море, это не для моря посудина...
ОтветитьHow is one guy in a cop boat going to help with anything? He was just there to watch them sink?
ОтветитьAll that and all the responders left the boat . They had to tow their own boat in.
ОтветитьWhaler are truly unsinkable even if they brake in half, is a fact and has been tested and proven many times.
