I feel like short hair only works on people with certain body types. Like yeah if you’re lean and have a thin frame you can go short and it looks great. But otherwise short hairstyles make your face look rounder and bigger

My hair's thin and I cut it pixie in November. Keeping it this length now as long hair does nothing for me. I'm 47 and the pixie has taken at least 20 years off my age but then again I'm genetically blessed and have always looked younger for my age. :)

Hell no. I love my long thin hair. That is why I grew it long. Cause I want long hair not short. Not a sensible solution.

Short just made the thin spots more noticeable. At least when its long I can put it up to help cover the sparser areas.
Plus those of us with full cheeks look awful in boy cuts. And men hate anything but long hair on women.

Not everyone suits short hair, unfortunately. Every above shoulder length cut I've ever gotten for my fine, thin, curly hair gets a thumbs down from family, friends, and coworkers. I don't have the face for short hair

Literally just had this type of cut done today. Just turned 50 and last year hair thinned dramatically. Curly to wavy past the shoulder hair, but parts were starting to hang flat and I'd started to get more hair loss in the shower! So I had it cut into an angled bob - longer in the front. HUGE improvement - of course I left it too long after that first cut last September. Past few weeks were getting tough to make it look good. The straggly length had crept back in and it looked thin again. After the re-chop today, the density of my curls when she showed me the back made me cheer for joy! It really does make all the difference, as he says. Be brave and try it - or at least ask to try a wig on in a shorter style to try out some options if you're nervous about taking the plunge. :-)

I’m 60 with fine, thin, long hair and I’m NOT cutting it short! I keep it colored (no grays), I use a straightener on it when I go out so it’s soft, silky, and lays well, and I think it keeps me young-looking. I also keep it angled in the front and highlighted. I would look terrible in a bob cut. There would be nothing to look at except the wrinkles on my face. I would lose a lot of self-confidence. Men my age like long-haired ladies as long as it’s not gray and scraggly! It makes them feel younger to be with a woman who has long hair.

I agree that those are good examples but alot of women dont want to get rid of length even if their hair looks better shorter.
