I use a plastic bag, because my dop kit includes: comb, tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant, and nail clippers. I can't even fill the plastic bag, let alone a dop kit, jajaja.

The timing of this is good as I have been trying to rethink my Dopp kit situation. Too much and too frustrating to pack and unpack.

Always called them Ditty Bags. For carry on stuff, a gallon sized freezer zip lock back works. For check in, I have a one compartment kit that is big enough to hold full size toiletries and has a lining so that if something leaks it doesn't leak outside of the ditty bag.

I use a hanging toiletry bag for two purposes when travelling - for storage of my electronics, earplugs eyemask etc. during economy flights as I can hang it from the seat back. Then when I arrive at my destination I swap in my toiletries from grip seal bags and hang it in the bathroom. Works great for me!

My Sea-To-Summit front transparent zipper pouch (size medium, i think) has been wonderful accompanying me to many countries over the last 10 years.
As a male with minimalist toiletries (repack to travel small sizes), this works as carry on that can be put at my bag front pocket for easy access at toilet or taking out for airport security checks.
Quality is still fantastic after using it for years.

My toiletry bag growing up was comically large. When I first started transitioning, I wanted a "manlier" option, so I bought a no-name brand one from Marshall's on a whim. It's rather made me see the light of keeping to the basics though: one huge main compartment and one smaller zipper compartment on the base really are the only things I need.

I went to Etsy to see what Dopp kits are available there. The one I like the most has a diagonal zipper so when you unzip it fully, it lays flat. Kind of hard to explain, but if you look, it's the only Dopp kit like it. It looks dope, but not 100% sure how practical it is. I'm torn between it and something with a hook.

Edit: Another design choice I'm looking for is light or bright lined interior, like white or orange. Makes it easier to grab what you want if you're in the dark.

Next time you replace your puff/loofah, buy a body towel (aka a long rectangular washcloth made from the same puff material). I'm sure Mini sells some. Its much easier to keep it clear, its scarf shape makes scrubbing your back extremely easy, and it stores flat and dries easier hanging up over a shower rod or hook. I use them at home and while traveling.

Re your feet, do you use wool blend socks?

The Tripped toiletry kit is mesh for the things that need to dry, and clear plastic where it needs to drain wetness and spills. Do the bags in your video help with drying?

I use a similar 3 pocket one from MEC - very lightweight at 127g (with the hook) and the 3rd pouch holds my laundry, shoe cleaning , mini eye glass repair and sew kit stuff. (I am kinda accident prone).

One tip - ditch the loofah and get a Salux cloth - it's what a loofah would be if you made it into a long cloth that you can also easily wash/exfoliate your back with. Very fast drying, lightweight at 32g, packs flat and you can wash/sanitize it with the rest of your laundry. I order these as stocking stuffers / small gifts as they really are amazing and I don't use anything else now, home or travel.

The most modern airports now do not require you to pack liquids into clear plastic bags nor remove them from your carry on bagage at all.

Also an Aer Travel Kit 2 user. I love this thing. Once I rethought my toiletries situation, I realized it's the perfect tool for me. It has just enough organization that I could actually use to compartmentalize some of my stuff -so I could quickly find them later.

Love your videos Maurice‼️ As a woman, I like a clear kit so I can see exactly where my stuff is. Besides my toiletries, I have my makeup and a fairly large amount of medication. So I really need something much larger. Mine looks like a suitcase shape but of course much smaller and clear. I use something and put it back. It just sits on the counter of my hotel bathroom. I do however love the hanging ones and use them also. Thanks for the info. 🎉

one possible change for your dopp kit: you can swap out that Muji exfoliating... ball? with a Korean exfoliating towel. V compact (like, flat compact), v cheap, dries way faster (thus preventing mold and gunk buildup) than those balls. As a fellow sweaty man, these scrub tools are heaven-sent and will always be part of my travel kit (heck, I'd bring two of said exfoliating towels for redundancy, since they're so compact and cheap anyway)

I appreciate how you cover different situations in terms of toiletry kits from the most basic to the most complex; everyone has different needs or requirements so it's good to cover all the bases. I'm more along the lines of the most basic when it comes to packing myself, though I always find myself taking more than I need; great video, keep up the great content! - Justin @ Vanquest

If it weren't for my contact lens solution, I'd probably would be able to do carry-on only. They stopped making the cleaner in travel size. However, I'd probably need to bottles to make it through the trip anyway.
