Hello Rick, Over the years I've seen you at different weights and you look happier at a thinner weight. Good luck with control, you've done it before and you can do it again. I'm working on 30 lbs. Thank you for this series, I need to hear your words. While I'm not in your main demographic, I'm going through a reevaluation period of my life goals and personal wants. I totally agree with what you said in this video and I am ever thank you for the gifts I've received, making a living in the music business for 30 years, creating music and being a fan. As I grow wiser (I hope?) and grow older, I still have the need to understand the difference between growing and fooling myself. I think I'm good at both.
Like you I've been in the same room as people who decide what music will most likely will be heard on the radio (media) and your words become even more important because having hit records, multiple income streams, a management team and your own private jet doesn't always make you healthy or sane. Having mentors, coaches and foundation will put these material" things in perspective. It's always been about the music, the song and the enjoyment of the fan (me, too) that makes this all worth while. Rant on brutha.
