Just found your channel and am enjoying it very much. I'm happy that you enjoyed the BMW GSA but understand your reservations about the cost and the weight. I have been riding GS's since 1995 and now have a '16 GSA. I think it is the finest motorcycle in the world. I admire your tackling the rougher off highway sections, very impressed!

I’m 57 and have a bad knee. I always wanted to ride a motorcycle but my wife asked me not to 35 years ago. I have my license but ride atv and sxs off road. I have to experience my motorcycle ride through you…thank you. You’re brave great job!

yeaah, not easy to find the right bike ($ - $$$). there are too many options out there. it is hard to balance cost benefits.

BMW is expensive and heavy . KTM is a good bike .The seat can be changed or a softer one can be ordered from tuning specialists . The title of iron Butt is awarded to someone who has traveled 1000 miles in one day))

So I am just watching most of your videos so I'm behind a little bit. I also ride a 2017 GSA1200R yes they are big bikes but as you found out they are very capable off road & you did absolutely great & you had panniers and a top box on the bike & street tires, also never be afraid of the front brake the ABS will work & save your butt trust me and again you did amazing 👏

There is nothing wrong with using the front brake off-road. Just be gentle with it. It is also helpful to put the bike in a lower gear going downhill and letting the engine braking control your speed.

You must have a very good condition, because I would have had major breathing problems on the most uneven and steep gravel sections here :-) Btw. I want a 1250, - I have the 850 and as you said, its a bit too top heavy I think on heavy gravel roads.

The comfort is why i changed my KTM for a 750 GS. The KTM seat was to hard even with the comfort seat, so it was not pleasant on longer rides. So i hope KTM will fix this cause the bikes themself are really good.

Everything you say is true, except the expense of owning a BMW, they are no more expensive than other similar bikes, and require far less maintenance much more reliable and servicing is cheaper too, miles per£,$, Euro works out a far cheaper bike to own. Love your videos PLEASE keep doing them.

When the side stand is in a low position and it is difficult to straighten the bike it helps if the steering is turned to the right.

OMG you did awesome it can be scary i know up in the mountains loose stones gravel your bike is heavy and tall . You did a great job on going and not quitting . You do a better job then i can on the gravel . Beautiful there but dry . Keep up the great work !!

You do care about the back brake. On dirt, a little too much front brake, the tire skids, washes out, and (finger snap) you are down. Instantly. Practice your rear brake. Front brake on street. Rear brake on dirt, and parking lot drills.
