Honesty is always the best policy. I would have more respect for someone who tells the truth whether it be good or bad.

I despise the weasel as much as the next man. However, holding him responsible for having defended the murderer’s father for what would happen a decade later is a far stretch. Resign he must, for being a coward by not explaining his position at the outset and prosecuted he must, for using his power to cover up his ongoing behind the scenes for not having come forward.
