Funk riffs sounding great 💙
Ответитьput a drip pedal on the amp
Ответить1000 bucks!
ОтветитьTail on that verb be too long 😞
ОтветитьI love the Supro Delta King 12 and would love to see a side by side of the Montauk and the DK12
Ответитьyou get some great tones man!
ОтветитьI'm catching Zeppelin I vibes. You'd have to dime it, no reverb, but it's there.
ОтветитьWhat an interesting amp. That reverb is massive sounding, but I do wonder if there is enough gain. I guess a pedal could always be used to punch it up.
ОтветитьLet me get some of that silica gel. 😲
ОтветитьSounds more like a Surf Rhythm Guitar Tone than a Surf Lead Tone.🤔
It sounds really good and I like that the amp has some nice bite but stays clean. This is a keeper.😎👍✨
Nice Experimentation with the Edits! Keep it up good Job!
ОтветитьThat's a great harmonica amp! For harp you need smaller speakers and tube overdrive. it would be fantastic if it had two 8 inch speakers instead of one 10. but still very good.
ОтветитьWhat current production amp actually has a drippy reverb?
ОтветитьNot on topic BUT that funky/gaudi Guyker strat is $170 on Amazon 🤔 Might make a fun video
Ответить60 cycle hum have you ever tried the behringer reverb machine ? Its discontinued but you can find it like for $5 used the 63 reverb mode is really cool
ОтветитьThe supro black magick reverb is on my top 3 amp shopping list right now. I’m surprised I haven’t bought one already but it has a tremolo as well.
ОтветитьI LOVE my Amulet. Sounds great with a True Spring with the onboard reverb adding extra trails.
ОтветитьWould rather have a Princeton.
ОтветитьNice King Missile reference!
ОтветитьThat's a really appealing little amp. I like the recent Supro re-issues, but most are awfully expensive. This little guy is less than a Princeton Reverb on Sweetwater! Having a patch bay on the back of a low-wattage tube amp is interesting as well- I wonder how it would interact with the FX loop of a multi-FX or modeller? The clean-to-dirty sounds remind me a bit of my 5E3 clone. Must be a very recent release- Canadian dealers aren't listing it yet.
ОтветитьHaving second thoughts- I checked out a Psionic Audio video on a Delta King. Board-mounted-tubes on cheap Chinese PCB tend to cook the surrounding traces. Crowded, pots are also board-mounted, etc. I wondered how such a simple tube circuit could support multiple FX loop options, but it doesn't- Op amps galore for those functions. This puts it in the same category as an old Peavey Classic 30- not too expensive, sound good, but disposable when they break- repairs can get expensive VERY fast with that sort of construction.
ОтветитьIf one was there for me to use in the room, I'd be delighted. But long term? With my own money? Not a chance. This is a beautiful box of future trouble.
ОтветитьOne of the best sounding cabs I’ve ever played through was a 4x10 . 10 in guitar speakers can be very cool and occupy some different guitar frequencies the low mid grunt, clank, snarl and growl they got attitude I guess everyone should have a 10 in option.
ОтветитьVery nice amp and a nice demo to go with it.
Thanks
Isn't the tone stack scooped? Not mid-focused? Like a Fender blackface?
ОтветитьFun fact about Montauk, there is an old abandoned high powered radar station called Camp Hero. It's rumored to be haunted and all kinds of spooky experiments were done there... so much that it inspired Stranger Things (though they moved the setting to Indiana.) In reality the most that thing did was mess with TV and radio signals (and cordless phones were pretty much impossible to use while the radar was on.) The areas around the station buildings are now a state park with a cliffside ocean view, but the buildings are off limits because they were left to decay for too long.
ОтветитьSounds great. My Supro Blues King 12 ,predecessor of the Delta King is still alive and kicking 😊
ОтветитьInteresting. I wonder about the construction though. PCB mounted tubes and pots? Chinese construction? If so, seems expensive for what it is.
ОтветитьBut no Fx loop? Hmmm
Ответить15 watt combo for $999!!????? No thank you !
Ответить"The Boss Martians" is one of the best band names ever. I used to have one of their CDs. I dug it.
ОтветитьIs this a reupload or am I tripping my balls off?
ОтветитьIt has an almost solid-state, HiFi clickiness to the attack in some places. I kinda like that.
ОтветитьMontauk is on the eastern tip o' Long Island (a "penis-ula", if you won't ) , therefore this amp needs to sound WETTER.
ОтветитьI can't wait for you to get the new Jack White fender amp. It looks like it might be the best amp they have made.
Ответить"That Supro grit." It came from the garage...
ОтветитьI wonder what it sounds like in stereo? I think I'm too fond of your 2 Princetons setup...
ОтветитьThis is why I sold my Super Blues King 12. It was too quiet even with hot pickups. Never reached that right spot of dirt for me.
Getting the same vibe from this amp.
10 inch speakers are my favourite, 2x10" cab you can't go wrong, punchy and bright.
ОтветитьSweet demo and gear.
Really awesome sounds.
Love the new Supro Montauk.
nice one bro!
sounds like the tc electrics hall reverb with that sweet ambience trail...
bet this amp can get that peter green thing goin on too!
Crank it man and lets hear it!!!
ОтветитьI KNEW IT!!😅 oooohh that is cool!
ОтветитьInteresting amp.
ОтветитьAmazing how good that Strat sounds. Good playing too!
ОтветитьLooks like Fender is losing...
ОтветитьI just left working out in Montauk for the season. I wonder what the connection to the name is.
Ответитьnice to hear someone actually go through a whole range of tones by twiddling the knobs instead of just showing off their playing.
Ответить
