Every time I see a pro player complaining about something its just trying to get something fun removed to make it like Tekken 7. Removing the heatdash combos? Are you serious? You might as well just reinstall tekken 7

Lets just be honest, Tekken 8 only looks cooler visually. It's more casual friendly, easier to play and relies more heavily on mechanics like HEAT and having stackable installs for certain chars. Time to let Tekken 7 and older Tekkens just stay in their times. Im not saying I absolutely love T8 but its no point in ranting anymore.

I have a strong feeling the reason why female characters have better side step is because they're skinnier and thinner, Lili's tall feature, side step leangth and being a skinny legend contributed to her side step

They actually made some heat dashes not be able to do a full combo. Feng's BT 2 used to let you have a screw after the heat dash but now you can't. They should make things consistent.

With that bryan situatuon on the wall it's because Bryan's attack pushes him foward a little bit so you get squeezed out of the wall when doing sidestep

Has no one realized that no one is great at tekken 8 yet? There might only be like 3 or 4 pro players that are great at tekken 8. Ulsan, Arslan, Mulgold, and Atif are about the only pro players that are consistently making top 3 at everything they go to. Literally no one is great yet. Tekken 7 was in arcades for 2 years before home release. Everyone is expecting tekken 8 to be perfect out of the box because at the end of tekken 7's life it was a nearly perfect fighting game. Tekken 8 just came out, and no it's not perfect, but it is very good. People are mistaking flaws in their gameplay for flaws in the game. Yes, the walls are pretty wonky in tekken 8. That absolutely needs fixed. Also some heat combos are very inconsistent and they need to fix whatever causes the sporadic frame drops on PC, but those are really the only 3 issues I see. Maybe some minor character balances, but that's all.

People haven't given the game enough time and almost no one is putting on masterclasses at tournaments. One key thing that shows me a fighting game is made well is if the same best players are winning tournaments. In tekken 8, the same best players are winning tournaments. Ulsan, arslan, mulgold, atif, ak. Those guys have won just about everything. If a game has too many players winning major tournaments, theres too much randomness in a game. That's not the case with t8. Wait until people get good at the game, then we will see.

The realignment issue is intentional. They want moves to align better to deter movement. They don't want movement because the point of T8 is 'simplification'. Back in T7 they actually made a patch to make Kazuya's hellsweep tracking. Think about that for a sec. Now think about the final DLC characters. Fakuhmram and Kuni had that realigning thing with their moves as well, particularly their strings.

The real spirit of Tekken is dying and it's only going to get worse because T8 actually increased the playerbase. To them, they're doing the right thing. As proof of that, have a look at the 'simplification' with Heihachi :)

Id just like to say the hitboxes being SO inconsistent is making me rage for sure. It was bad in 7 but it ls way worse in 8.

Also, pretending moves like Lars stance 3, law uf3, lilly 3+4 are balanced is NONSENSE. Its so stupid dealing with these moves that are safe, tracking, and mid. Super dumb.

Also is it just me or is sidestepping/SW inconsistent in this game? Theres lots of time where im trying to sidewalk and end uo getting a jump. I have thousands of hours in 7 and dont remember this happening that often

I really don't care about the opinion of an asian guy or any of these "pro" player that has nothing else to do in their life other than playing tekken telling me what's good or not.

I think that tekken 7 is really the best iteration in the series and should remain as the standard. I know bamco didnt like 'optimal' tekken 7 korean players spacing and poking all game but that shit was interesting. T8 feels like bloated ass combos over n over and a fight over who labbed the most. Its fun for some flashy satisfing offence but like T7 forever

Some characters can hit you behind with certain moves, but Dragu's QCF4 can do a whole 180° tracking during a combo. 😂

The walls definitely. A lot of Lars’s options to bound will drop at the wall. The way people slip is just dumb. Yet, sometimes I’ll get launched while be directly on the wall and the person will get off a combo as if it’s midscreen, THEN bound me for the wall combo. It’s insane.

As someone who mained Yoshi for all of T7 and TTT2, I was prone to the bias up until I played against another Yoshi. I used to set up for attacks that are no longer unblockable and since spacing worked, matches would be pretty decent. Now it’s retarded frames, a lot of flash, and almost the same flow chart from all Yoshi players. Now, I don’t play him anymore even though he’s arguably stupid. I’ll come back if they drop his T6 costume though. Idk what I’m god’s name convinced them to drop the ttt2 costume and call it classic.

Mishima tracking is brain dead. All of the stupid characters have nonsense tracking

I think the realignment is a camera issue. Sometimes people aren’t moving but I’ll get absurd drops as the camera does something like hit the wall

Adding OP characters as DLC, giving Raven a 15 launcher without much thought, Reducing Dragunov damage but not his pressure which is actually the problem, Alis's chainsaws still untouched, Jin untouched, Feng a bit buffed. While Panda, Asuka, Leroy are still licking the floor at the bottom of the tier. I mean Raven needed a small boost but this is a out of the blue type of buff

I feel like if these things are based off martial arts... u CANNOT side step a round house .... things like that i am ok with.. and females characters are smaller so im ok with them being harder to hit and their dmg is minimal compares to male characters.. u play bryan with high damage, but u want to side step like xiaoyu. On top of that bryan 3+4 hits you from half screen almost... and 90% if landed is counter ... u CANT HAVE EVERYTHING...

Bryan got stuck in T7. His tool (except foe QCB1) is not something that in crunch time.

They took one of his most fundamental game plan away (nothern cross, SS1, FF4) that weakens his counter chracteristic. T8 rewards attack and agressivness. He Bryan would still has his counter tools, many would have run into a big damage combo.

That's why many Bryan Mains are cryning. But there are no complaining. All Bryan mains should embrace his sick wall game in T8 and make the best of it.

FYI, there are wall combos that cannot be performed on Female characters and only male characters will get hit 100% without dropping.

Bryan is extremely buggy, very annoying to play because things happen to him that don’t exist anywhere else on the roster.
