it was called The Last of Us Online, not factions. Factions 2 was cancelled even before releasing this abomination of story-telling TLOU Part 2.

The game Neil presented the concept art of (The concept art with black woman with rifle and white guy with bow or crossbow at the building, and the panorama of San Francisco), at the games showcase, was called The Last Of Us Online.

It was cancelled after a piece of shit company called BUNGIE (Destiny devs) said the game doesn't have good microtransactions system or something like that.

I’m ready for companies to innovate multiplayer games. EVER SINCE LAST OF US BACK ON PS3 I wanted infected to just randomly spawn in during a death match. Imagine while hidden, you toss a brick towards the opposite team that’s making their way across the map, and the sound triggers clickers their way. OR you’re in a firefight with the other team but all stop to work together to fight off infected. Idc if the infected are npc’s. So many zombie multiplayer games, but nothing quite like that (that I know of).

I guess what I’m sort of asking is combining some co-op elements with competitive elements.

Imagine giving up on something a whole bunch of people wanted to play for something no one gave two fucks about even after the trailer release and beta release, even when it received major Back lash on both fronts from the trailer to the beta and still just full sent with concord, knowing that no one cares about it. All the red flags and they still figured people would dig it, they had plenty of time to back out and focus on the right project which was factions 2 but they didn’t just shoot themselves in the foot on accident they 100% put the gun to their head and pulled the trigger and committed suicide. No second thoughts about it. The absolute pure negligence and ignorance is what put Sony in such a fucked situation that could have been avoided and made right a long time ago, yea people didn’t get on with the last of us part two it was a hit and miss for a lot but even so I believe a lot more people liked it, there was no reason once so ever to dissolve factions 2. Especially with what the team had in mind for it, it was promising and they picked the morbidly obese guy to make a point over the brutal executions factions would have provided.

No way... The moment I saw the gameplay of the Part II I just know the Multiplayer will be sick. The dodging features makes it a bit funny in combat You can just spam it 🤣

I don't think people realize the multiplayer that Naughty Dog was trying to push. Was nothing like the first factions. The new multiplayer what's going to be a live service game. Live service games are junk. Nobody asked for that shit we wanted the same factions but with the mechanics in the maps of the second game. If it isn't broke don't fix it. There isn't anything wrong was the first factions besides it would be nice to do an update which I know won't happen. To get rid of the wallbangers and the crab walkers. There's no reason why they couldn't just add the same kind of factions to the second game. They were really too big into the first actions basically that shit got thrown together. Then that shit blew up. In my opinion it's is the best multiplayer I've ever played. Hell interrogations wasn't even out at the start of the factions. As soon as interrogation came out that was a game changer. If they scrap that live multiplayer they could have quickly back tracked and gave us the other factions.

I don’t ever think they should bring factions back maybe coop would be nice nowadays games have too many pc hackers , battle passes , skins that cost 40 dollars the problem is they won’t stick to their roots if you have noticed by now naughty dogs tends to follow trends so if they were for sure to bring back factions it would be horrible Fortnite style multiplayer with 70 dollar game and all the skins cost 40 trust me I know what this leads up too let alone the multiplayer overshadows story games nowadays anyway you get a good story game and add PvP everyone skips it and goes straight to then multiplayer just to play with friends idk I enjoy the single player aspect means I don’t have to be annoyed by people and I can enjoy a good story on hardest mode with better AI than playing factions 2 against a bunch of hackers and skill based damage which is being implemented into every game btw first cod now battlefield then Fortnite then pubg then Star Wars list goes on and on

So basically they got feedback from Bungie, a multiplayer community that gets crapped on by its fan because DLC and gameplay….. when they could have asked another Studio that is big on the zombie multiplayer genre, like left for dead or World war Z?? Stupid Naughty Dog studios….
