It's obvious that the games are not connected. For example: in diamond and pearl we literally catch gods wich should probably effect the whole Pokemon universe

While I'm not sure if people will agree with me, I believe that there was an original point within the Pokémon universe where events have happened, and that other games are weird branches splitting from that original timeline. What caused these branches? What's the original timeline? I don't know, this is defiantly just a random theory I have.

Pokemon just confirmed the multiverse in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon with the team leaders, and Sword and Shield are probably in their own timeline because they don't have any backstory on mega evolution like every other game in the mega timeline, and they can't be in the original timeline because the great pokemon war never happened at all so AZ never had the chose to fire the weapon or not, which leads to Sword and Shield not following the mega or original timeline

SwSh are in the same timeline as Let's Go, because of the npc who gives you Pikachu if you played Let's Go Pikachu, and Eevee if you played Eevee. But because of Kabu, the Hoenn region must also exist.
