Chinese station's are on another levelcompared to Indian. We need more architectural stations rather than modern ones. Coz we are old ancient civilizations in earth.

Thanks anuj for the upload....im from delhi but lived in mumbai for 15 years & was very enamoured by the delhi metro network specially the underground stations....but after seeing this mumbai metro ( this line ) looks way better...thanks for showcasing the development of mumbai & the coastal road upload as well...mumbai has gone ahead of delhi now! ( irony is this was made by the delhi metro )

this is the closest thing I have seen to japanese trains in India. Phenomenal work by everyone involved!

Happy about the interiors-- good money seems to have been spent on the finishes with even some art work and columns having design tile elements, each station having a different color scheme, etc.
I don't like the long tunnel walkways, and I especially dislike the exterior headhouses at the end stations-- instead of something that architecturally stands out, or at least has a classic design, it is the most ho-hum Soviet bloc architecture with not even a thought given to any design. Was this done by the Public Works Dept?
The long tunnels with sharp turns also are bad urban design that's been done in other countries and found that people distrust such spaces.
A lot more urban design and architectural panache was expected for such a line which is and will be a main stem connecting many other lines, and see lot of passengers.
The trains themselves seem ok and perfectly workable to handle large crowds and take wear and tear well. Except for those dings and announcements of the same station made 3 times by 3 voices but all 3 saying basically the same thing. Marathi language chauvinism? The information is already on the "next station" scroll, and on the line map. Why does the announcement need to be made 3 times? Just once-- Hindi-- should be enough.

So all in all, there seems to be some wasted over-engineering on the one hand, and some lack of appropriate design/architectural flourish on the other. Maybe things get better with future lines. I somehow doubt it.
