ОтветитьI love to play battlemages in Oblivion. Melee combat by itself is lackluster but becomes insanely powerful if you use enchanted weapons and custom spells. I usually make a on touch spell with a combined elemental and magic weakness (for 3-5 s duration) and craft an enchanted weapon with the respective elemental damage effect. Once I have Azura's star I even add a soul trap effect on that weapon and you have yourself a good time. Playing around with the durations and magnitudes also ensures that you don't break the game completely. It's also quite fun if you have these combos for different elements and then you can swap them for whichever suites best against that particular enemy - which is a fun strategic element.

Damage health - 25 points on target for 2 seconds.
Weakness to magic 100% on target for 2 seconds
Weakness to shock, fire and ice damage on target for 2 seconds.
There, you won the game. A affordable spell that reduces hp by 200 per cast and does 350 damage per second, split between fire, ice, shock and magic damage on an enemy with no natural resistances. Against an enemy with 1000 HP, your first cast will Reduce its HP by 100, apply weaknesses and do 100 damage over 2 seconds. Making it's HP current HP 800 out of 900. The second cast will have it's elemental damage multiplied to x4, and it's damage health by x2. The drain health will also be multiplied by x2. So, the second cast reduces it's max HP by a further 200 to 700, while the combined damage types do 700 damage over 2 seconds, killing it.
Keeping drain health duration to 6 seconds allows for multiple stacks of the effect to remain in effect while the DoT kills it.
Can someone comfirms for me whether fortify attributes actually goes beyond 100
ОтветитьSpending time doing all of the Recommendation quests to get into the Arcane University is not a trivial matter, especially if you're playing on Master difficulty. Head north and find the Frostcrag Spire, grab the book, and visit the relevant NPC in the Imperial City to buy the one time use candles for the spellcraft station far faster and safer, not putting you in front of bloated mobs until you get a collection of establishing spells tailored to your needs.

1. weakness to magicka 100% for 6 seconds. and
2. weakness to fire 100% for 6 seconds.
cast twice fast.. then
cast any fire damage like regular 50 damage or 10 dmg over 5 seconds will be cheaper mana cost
it's like 16 times the damage, so, instead of 50, it's 800 damage, while still at low level.
and should work on even those with fire resistance... granted you could do the same with frost or shock as well.
I looked to see if the game was available on PS4 IT'S NOT AND IM PISSED OFF ABOUT IT

ОтветитьThe way spell leveling works in the remaster is it uses a % of the spell cast as your xp. So always use the highest grade and most expensive spell you can if you're training that spell class. Pair it with regen magika potions for maximum grinding. (Yes level alchemy, it's great for mages and perfect for making money legit without glitches. Potions of restore fatigue are the best option for profit)
ОтветитьSomething worth adding to the spell effects - the list only populates with spells that you know AND are able to cast. If you know a spell but can't use it because your skill isnt high enough, the effect won't show up.

ОтветитьIm the type that loves to have "holy" aesthetic spells, so i made my own spells that use the restoration heal visual effects at its weakest heal value, then i put another effect like damage health after it, while it is a bit conterproductive due to it healing the enemy, it has created visual effects that look similar to radiant sorcery from lords of the fallen.

ОтветитьAre you tired of breaking your hammers and having to get more? Then Fortify Skill: Armourer Magnitude 100 Self for 2 secs. Do this before going into the menu and makes your hammer unbreakable (going into menu pauses timer). Also it slightly makes your gear better 💪
ОтветитьI think they should add this into Elder Scrolls 6. But make it not crazy op but still fun & let it scale worh enemies so you can have more of a challenge but nothing Dark Souls like. Man theres so much they can do to it, I just wanted it now

ОтветитьYou wont see this and its cool but you should have included how we can select more than 1 spell to add to spell crafting. Having to go all over the internet is annoying.

%80 weakness to fire 3 sec.
%80 weakness to magic 3 sec.
Make a spell with:
Soul trap 1 sec touch.
Fire damage 20-40 (depends your destruction level) 1 sec touch.
Swing your blade 2-3 times and land spell with touch.
Doable at early game and extremely powerful can sustain soul gems while leveling destruction. And splits the cost of of spell between weapon and magicka.
But this build more suitable for master difficulty. Kills fun in regular difficulty.
On console How do I make a spell that gives me 1000 speed?
ОтветитьI chose to play a hand to hand orc and use custom spells as a substitute for pressure point BS. It's actually fun but I recommend to not play above adept difficulty. Hand to Hand just doesn't do well above it. Hopefully the company who Remastered the game will patch it and fix Hand to Hand where it can actually keep up with other play styles but I won't get my hopes up.
ОтветитьI'm sorry man but you should take down this video, it holds a lot of bad advice and misinformation. For example luck doesn't affect your loot. Also adding duration to damaging spells is a way to get cheaper damage per cost: a spell doing 50 dmg in an instant cost more than a spell doing 25 damage per seconds for 2 seconds. Also you don't need to visit the Arcane University before you start gathering recommendations. You should explore the game a bit more before you give tips, so that the tips are at the very least accurate.

ОтветитьFrom a different video I learned that adding a weakness spell to a dmg spell wont increase the amount of damage that the spell is doing. You will want to have a spell that debuffs the enemy and a different spell for your dmg
ОтветитьNo they are not broken. That is how they were meant to be. The earlier elder scrolls games had more powerful magic Morrowind is even more powerful then oblivion is. Skyrim was magic for babies!!!! The longer the Elder scrolls games have gone the weaker magic gets.

ОтветитьIts already confirmed, Luck has no effect on loot quality. Buffing it is pointless. It provides nuanced bonuses to all skills (a total of 4 pts for every skill for every 10 points after 50 in luck). Acrobatics and Athletics are the only skills that benefit being raised beyond 100. So if youre buffing your luck, and your skills are already at 100, youre effectively just wasting Magicka for no reason. Even if youre not at 100, buffing other attributes would be the way to go.

ОтветитьI’ve been looking for help and answers, but no one seens to have any. I just don’t get it. No weakness effects make any difference in my game when I’m making custom spells. And I’ve tested it with thoroughly, comparing my health after every cast (self-cast).
1) First spell: 100 fire damage, 1 sec. Does 100 damage.
2) Second spell: 100 fire damage, 1 sec, 100 fire weakness for 10 secs. One cast does 100 damage, yet another does also only 100.
3) Third spell: 100 fire damage, 1 sec, 100 fire weaknes for 10 secs, 100 weakness to magic for 10 secs. Every single cast does only 100 damage.
I’ve also tried it out the other way round - weaknesses first, damage last - and I got the exact same values every single time. And no, the weakness timer(s) didn’t expire. They just didn’t work. 😢
I made a spell called ROTT.. it's 100% damage to health and made it a touch spell. Works great

ОтветитьI've been checking how it works. That's NOT working like that. I've been testing this - If you combine "weakness" and "damage" in one spell, "weakness" will not work on damage component of THIS spell (NEXT damage spell will deal more damage ... i don't know why - just another game bugs). You'll do much more damage if you apply "weakness" and "damage" separately. Moreover, if you apply "weakness to magic" and "weakness to frost" separately, next frost spell will deal much more damage then spell with "weakness to magic AND frost" and frost spell (and the difference between it and a spell with all the effects in one spell will be more than twice! I'm already silent about the difference in mana costs). It would be too inconvenient to use three spells in battle and the difference won't be too big if you use a second option (weakness spell "magic+frost" and then damage spell - this option will be optimal).
I also tested the option with a spell for weakness to magic and all the elements and a spell for damage from all three elements, and as a result, it turned out to deal several times less damage than each effect casted individually. It just doesn't work as it should ...
