I remember watching 2014 as the first ever godzilla movie i had watched. My favorite part was watching the airport scene for the first time. The way he roars, the explosions and people being silenced by a single footstep, its all so cool. I also remember watching the one that has kiryu in it but i dont remember much from it. That and all the other movies made me a Godzilla superfan.

For me, my obsession with Godzilla started with the king of the monsters movie from 2019. I thought it was so cool to see all these varying monsters at such a young age that I even remember doing my own art for these monsters. Granted I didn’t read the reviews but I didn’t care about no reviews. And here I am, 5 years later appreciating what I have done and still do for the big G. Owning an entire collection of kaiju figures I built out of legos, watching all of his movies from the varying years, and I know not many people care about 2019 kotm, but I think it’s fair to be happy for its 5th year anniversary.

For me, my first Godzilla film was Kong Vs Godzilla movie followed up by Kong Skull Island.
Then i went on to other things and eventually I recently came across Dhin Godzilla (which i have watched probably 50 times) was a rekindle of my Godzilla interest.
Then I went on to watch some of the Showa era movies followed up by the entire Heisei era.
And lastly the 1954 Godzilla which was upscaled by Criterion and must say that movie as well has been watched to death.

You kow what's funny? I watched my first gojira movie "minus one".then i fell in love.watched the 2014 movie right after, and my mom thought muto was Gojira too

I remember first seeing a car commercial that was sponsored by the movie, where Godzilla tries to eat a car, but chokes on it because it’s too bulky. He spits it out, and the family drives away. Yes, a car commercial was my first knowledge of Godzilla.

Afterwards I began watching videos online for different the films, tribute videos, music videos, stuff like that. And then eventually my mom rented the 2014 film at home…

I too have been a Godzilla fan for roughly a decade… And my life is all the better for it. Godzilla 2014 may not be the best Godzilla film ever made, but it definitely holds a soft spot in my heart. Easily top-five of all the Godzilla films Imo.

The way I became a natural fan is because two of my brothers are having Godzilla marathon we watch every Godzilla movie and also the Godzilla Minecraft pack got me a Godzilla fan so yeah

2011 first ever toy was a 2004 godzilla figure.

I remember watching the 2014 Godzilla movie for the first time. It was sometime after it had come out, and little 8 year old me was watching cable with my dad. That movie was on and MAN was it amazing. Just as spider-man which i watched in my childhood as well. Anyways i remember being blown away by the train scene where the Muto was on the tracks, And the bridge scene. But i also like i said watched Tasm 1 and 2 in 2012-2015. But my favorite of all was Transformers!

I spent my early years without Godzilla, I heard of him but didn’t care UNTIL I saw some trailers for King Of the Monsters
I thought it looked neat, wanted to see it but was too nervous to ask my family because I was worried about seeming weird over suddenly wanting to see a movie in a franchise I showed no interest in. Thankfully my brother said “hey that new Godzilla movie looks cool, wanna go see it”

Spider-Man vs Godzilla when? (just from the thumbnail)

I know it's a bit controversial but I grew up with Godzilla 98. I got my mom to rent it so many times before I managed to buy my own dvd. It's a great kaiju film and I honestly wouldn't have had any clue about the original Japanese version before 2014 if it hadn't been for Godzilla 98.

I have been into Godzilla since 1998, only to find out it was actually TriStar's Zilla. Until Godzilla 2000 was the real deal and I became fascinated with Toho's Godzilla throughout the eras when 2004 came to an end. Then the game Godzilla Unleashed sparked my excitement in 2007.

Until 2014, his return to the cinemas fueled my hype for Godzilla; and this time, they got the American Godzilla right. I started collecting Godzilla since then. Two years later they made more Godzilla movies in Japan like Shin Godzilla, Godzilla Anime Trilogy, and Godzilla Minus One.

Back to the topic, 2014 was the beginning of a new cinematic universe, calling it the MonsterVerse. Even Kong appeared, but more sequels came and my adrenaline fuel just keeps getting higher because of my Godzilla Earth-sized obsession of Godzilla. I collect both the movies and toys as well.

Not much of a fan, but i like Shin Godzilla and -1, yet if he's a metaphor of nuclear war, how can he talk, and in some medias, be portrayed not as a treat? (Like the anime n stuff) I've seen some compilations of weird things GZ did and it made laugh, but i don't understand that sometimes.. great video though! ^^

For me, when I was three years old, my dad had one of the Showa era Godzilla movies on and I sat down to watch it. I became a big fan. When I was 11 in 2019, I saw the 2019 Godzilla movie with no knowledge of the 2014 movie since at that point, the only Godzilla movies I knew were the ones my dad knew and he doesn't keep up with Godzilla stuff. So then on, I kept track of the new Godzilla movies and caught up with the movies I haven't seen yet. Also Godzilla led me to be a Gamera fan too. Fan of both.

how i became a godzilla fan: me and my cosins were looking for the old godzilla vs king kong film but then when we were looking through the tv channels for it we saw "godzilla vs kin...." we thgout it was godzilla vs king kong so we clicked on it then... BOOM it was actually godzilla vs king ghidorah (heissi era) and thats how my love for godzilla started.

i had a similar thing going, i learned about sharks as a toddler, watched jaws and loved it, then learnt about how the t rex had a stronger bite than the great white, found it cool then watched jurassic park, then found godzilla because i saw godzilla as laser shooting dinosaur and ever since then i have loved dinosaurs, sharks, and kaiju
