How I wish a program of performers and the music they sang could have been provided. Placido of course I know and love but some of those sopranos were just excellent and I don't know who they were.

And of course Roberto Alagna was superb. His "Rachel quand du seigniur" was profoundly tragic. I should know how to spell "seigniur" but what a hatchet job I did on that word. Doesn't take anything away from Maestro Alagna's profound performance.

Wonderful concert. They all deserved flowers at the end.

I just love him. Did you see him look up at and acknowledge the audience members in the cheaper seats? What a gentleman. And, by the way, what a voice.

I just wish Placido would sing "Vieni" or "Andiam" to me.

Was the "tra la la" duet from The Elixer of Love? What fun it was.

I LOVE Placido and wonder why every time I look him up that Pavorotti is right there? Maria Callas is always there, too, but she never sang in an opera. Does anyone know how to sort the suggestions on the right to exclude people?

Lawrence Olivier once said of Placido Domingo that Placido acts as well as he (Lawrence) and sings the part, too!

I love him. I love the way he looked up at the less expensive seats, making sure they knew he appreciated them as well. Bravo.
