This is what differentiates Howard from Chuck. Chuck was so ego driven that he would’ve been hellbent on fighting to the bitter end. Howard was ready to fight but the instant Cliff said he was thinking about their clients, Howard came back down to reality and conceded. Howard and Cliff both cared about their clients to the point where Howard was willing to take such a brutal blow to the chin for their sake. Makes me despise Jimmy and Kim that much more.

This scene had me howling when I first saw it, not even being hyperbolic.

I'm surprised Cliff wasn't more of a figure in breaking down the false narrative built around Howard. He was there for every update and witnessed it all. I guess when the cocaine thing happened maybe that was too much evidence. I'd also be curious to see his reaction once Kim confesses the truth to Cheryl.

HHM was a cursed firm that turned one partner into a Schizophrenic and another into a drug addict. At least in eyes of the public.

Honestly, if he was positive he had been scammed after looking at the photos, he should've just cut his losses, apologized, and moved on with the mediation. All his professionalism went out the window and he focused too much on revenge too quickly.

Well written, well directed, and well acted. I can't stand the character of Kim Wexler though. I find her completely unrelateable.

howard storyline was the worst thing in the show. the show would have been better without it.

This scene is probably the most elaborate and creative (yet scummiest) scam I've ever seen on TV!

Howard was one of the good guys, all things said. He got screwed over so bad in this show.

Howard did not deserve any of this. He had abit of an ego about him but he was intelligent and a good lawyer who wanted the best outcomes for his clients until Jimmy started picking him apart. In a way it was poetic he died in front of Jimmy and Kim so they could see something they will never forget instead of sitting in the shadows.

I love a harmless prank.

i like that cliff didn't necessarily Not believe howard about it being jimmy. hard to argue "why would he do this if it means less money for him" if he's talking about the guy who used to work for him and stopped flushing until he got fired because he was mildly irritated about not being allowed to air an ironic cheesy commercial

Imagine from Cliffs perspective seeing my long time associate and buddy Howard go off the deep end only to disappear off the face of the earth

Let’s all be real what ended up happening to Howard was truly horrible. He was a decent guy and always was truly trying to help Saul out even though Saul thought he had it out for him.

Kind of ironic how Jimmy took down Howard in a very similar fashion as to how he took down Chuck

He said "you get off on it" and had no idea how literally true this was, easily Kim's most horrifying low until yep yep guy

Jimmy and Kim are the true antagonists of the series and I didn't want to believe it until the last season

its so crazy howard was always right about this trap but no one trust him

The cruelest thing that happened to him was continuing the lie about his reputation even after he died.

There was no reason for Kim to tell his wife she “saw” him snorting. As if the cruelty they did to him wasn’t enough, destroying his memory was even worse…

Overall, I agree with the ‘Howard was a good guy’ comments, but with one small exception. I always felt that he was stringing out the Sandpiper lawsuit for maximum fees - even though it was taking so long that the old folks were dying out. He was putting self-interest before the clients.
