I was at this game. I remember the Ref having to be shielded from the bottles that were being thrown in his direction!!!!

Culley is in the top 3 of all time rugby greats. Hands down the best

Cullen was the most exciting fullback but not the best. I would argue that these 3 are the best NZ fullbacks --Ben Smith, Israel Dagg and John Gallagher. Smith: has the courage to take the high ball, very high IQ, strong on defense, excellent ball skills; Dagg: creative on attack, keeps the defenders guessing. Great touch finder, strong on defense. Gallagher: solid under the high ball, excellent link to the backline; strong defender, great handling skills.

No one cares about Rugby in Australia. It is the least popular sport compared to all the other sports played in the country.

Cullen was electric, one of the best ever! I wish he was still around, much better than overrated Beauden Barrett!

Cully was a legend, no question. One of my all time faves. But I'm still waiting for him to "go nuts" in this video. Both of his tries were laid on for him. Credit where credit's due, John Eales was the real hero of this match.

One final observation: the game was less predictable, and more free flowing, back in those days. No ugly rolling maul or 'crash over' tries, no three minute scrums, less complex breakdown rules, no yellow/red cards for accidental offences, no lengthy stoppages for TMO intervention and rulings.

Rubbish refereeing at the end.....looked like a blatant fix game.....just for that aussie can be cursed to not win it back for 30 years.
