I'm a lefty...
ОтветитьAwesome! Love KelTec.
ОтветитьA super compact, bullpup cheek pistol designed around the 5.7x28mm would be like a further evolution of the PDW concept.
ОтветитьI feel like if HK released a pistol version of the MP7 it'd be perfect for this.
ОтветитьI love this concept. The only reason it hasn't been done before is that red dot sights haven't been infinitely reliable for very long. It won't work with iron sights. And when you think about it, a stock is largely useless in most guns other than for stability/recoil control. If there is a way to do it without a stock just as good, then it definitely is worth looking into. When you consider practically every modern fighting rifle has some form of folding or collapsible stock, everyone wants the space back, but retain the accuracy. Obviously it doesn't fit every single role, but for police and civvy use it has a lot of benefits. Even a normal handgun you have to fully extend your arms to get a good sight picture, this is even smaller in overall stance profile than that and more accurate as well. And at the end of the day .22LR may not be great in this particular gun, but if you can be very fast and rifle accurate then does it matter if you put 33 holes into one spot? I love Rhett's other ideas, especially with bridshead grip shotguns. Definitely a winner there. A lot of great conceps. I hope he maintains credit for this in the long run.
ОтветитьI may try and build an AR pistol using the parts Rhett described in his video. A pistol set up that way is going to be more compact than an AR pistol with brace.
ОтветитьCheckout demonstrated concepts cheek shooting Draco over 100yds.
ОтветитьIt's a very niche concept. For high end military contractors/SWAT officers it's an interesting concept. These people have the disposable income and time to devote to proper training. That isn't a big enough market to support the sales and R&D costs. It's more compact than a PCC but it's still far bulkier than a handgun. It's not something that fits in a holster. It's a skill set that only applies to that gun. Handgun training can be applied to almost all handguns.
Ответить....cries in left-handed :(
ОтветитьDue to my size, (6'4") most braces are too small for me to shoulder. I have been "cheek welding" my braced pistols from the getgo. As an aside, most msr adjustable stocks are egually inadequate for my LOP.
ОтветитьThis technic is very accurate and fast.
ОтветитьYou are correct. Rhett is a forward thinker and has been on to something with cheek pistols. More people like him are needed for sure. I hope other big channels such as yourself give them more exposure so more manufacturers jump on board.
ОтветитьI love this pistol set up this way. I set mine up about a year ago, after watching one of Rhett's videos. I definitely got one of those "no issue" kel-tecs. It has eaten everything I have fed it without issue. I have also never had issues loading the magazines. Another of the videos I watched on this pistol indicated that the mags had to be loaded very particularly?!?
Thank you for the great video!
CMMG 22 action and barrel with the CMMG threaded plug works well in an AR as a cheek pistol. If you are left handed a piece of kydex can be formed over the rail to make a deflector for the ejected brass.
ОтветитьI tried the cheek pistol technique today with my eight inch Ruger Charger. It is the no brake down version with an old RMR I had laying around. I shot with an A2 style flash hided and with the Silencerco Sparrow. t works great! I got quarter sized river shot groups at 10 yards right away and fist sized groups at 35 yards. I'm sure I could improve with practice. I'd also like to drop in a trigger upgrade and maybe a higher optic mount. I'm super impressed.
ОтветитьI still think the Kriss vector would work well for this. He used a Draco with the cheek pistol method and did well.
ОтветитьWish I had money to buy some stuff like this but whenever I do have some I go for legit pistols lol. Also having heard how many of these have blown up ,not sure I want my face that close
ОтветитьI own one with all the bells and whistles. It occurs to me that a 9 or .45 in this format could prove very useful. The extra barrel length and sight radius make it attractive for fast and accurate engagement.
ОтветитьThe Keltec CP33 runs 100% after a simple fix. If it has a hard time clambering a first round, or intermittent stoppages, or crescent moon shaving of lead from the bullets, it's where the bottom of the chamber and feed ramp meet. There is a sharp edge there. A chop stick and very fine sand paper cures the sharp edge in less than two minutes. After that, nothing but a well running CP33
ОтветитьI just bought a PSA AKV pistol and I want to learn to “cheek” it
ОтветитьShout out to Rhett. He's a true out of the box thinker while also being totally practical when it comes to firearms and training. Also, he's just generally a cool friendly dude.
ОтветитьP50? Also, all those pistols that have had their now illegal braces trashed....
ОтветитьIve had the same issues with a cp33. I'm going to try this setup with a Ruger PC charger. It's definitely got a lot more, but it's heavier.
ОтветитьCool gun but quad stack 22lr??? Rimfire just a a tad too unreliable for my liking for self defense situation. Wouldn't mind something in a larger caliber.
Ответитьso much respect for Rhett
ОтветитьI want a micro compact tec 9 / Mac variant chambered in 380 😈
ОтветитьB&T TP 380
ОтветитьWanna try this with an ak pistol
ОтветитьMy favorite part of cheek pistol tech is that you leave a very small profile
ОтветитьA Ruger charger pistol in 5.7x28 might work well.
ОтветитьI have Rhett's shockwave grip recoil strap, and his cheek technique blew my mind. The shockwave I got as a fun idea is now a practical firearm. It's now my go-to "12 gauge firearm." :)
ОтветитьMake sure to breath the lead powder
ОтветитьA Pistol that has a But Stock, or Anything else added to it is Still Like Shooting a Pistol. It’s just like Shooting Your Pistol, with a But Stock added to it.
ОтветитьInteresting concept (Cheek Pistol)... Add a suppressor and you're ready to rock and roll.... BTW.. I like Kel-Tec. My PMR-30 and P-17 run flawlessly with the CCI 45 gr HP... I enjoy your reviews. Thanks, RT
ОтветитьBased of the photo I see on the thumb nail , I forget the fellows name that uses this method in connecting to the gun .
ОтветитьYeah, mine won't load the first round either. I've heard that CCI AR Tactical ammo feeds well in it.
ОтветитьWhat is the source of the statistic quoted in this video "statistically the people most likely to need a concealed handgun are also those the least likely to be able to afford it"?
ОтветитьHmmmm, maybe the Mac or Uzi inspired pistols?
ОтветитьYou have to try this with the kel tec p50.
ОтветитьIt only works if you have a riser that puts the optic way off the shooting axis, thus drastically reducing the target envelope.
ОтветитьThis is dangerous bullshit. The CP33 is not a bullpup and was not designed to be used this way.
ОтветитьMy MAC11/9 has entered the chat 😂 Might have to try out this setup
ОтветитьThe Draco?
ОтветитьWeird.... I like it!
ОтветитьLooks like a dream on the eardrums.
Ответитьyeah, dont cheek a pistol. even a .22. OOB can and will happen at some point, and you dont want that near your face.
ОтветитьStupid idea
ОтветитьWhat's your current opinion on this platform?
ОтветитьFeel like he’s doing a skit
