Jimmy Wang Yu - The Original Bruce Lee | Triads in Hong Kong Cinema

Not sure if Bruce Lee was inspired by Wang Yu, but definitely not the first. Bruce was a privileged child actor and was already quite famous before his leaving to Hollywood, most of all, Lee was formally trained by martial art master, why would he even get inspired by a street kid later turn action actor. And the film industry in Taiwan was totally small compared to that of HongKong, just sayin

I own a DVD copy of Master of the Flying Guillotine(1975). Steve Oederkirk turned one of his kung fu movies into a "comedy".

A true legend of Kung Fu, cinemas golden age in the 60s and 1970s and one that like David chiang and ty lung remains very much under rated

None of those shaw bros stars could be bruce lee. Jimmy Wang yu"s fighting is stiff and clumsy while Lee's is fluid fast and powerful coupled with his intensity and charisma he's not replaceable.

My first Wang Yu movie was Wang Yu the invisible then Wang Yu king of the boxers.

Jackie is no triad member indeed. He hates the triad till these days (because triad were stupid and non constructive in any sense) and back then he knew he needed support and protection from his own comrades, so he formed his own 成家班which are not gangsters but a large numbers of stunt men who know martial arts to fight back against bullying and violence. No one dares to touch him till these days even though he is not triad guy. Even gangster / triad members address him as 成龍大哥.💪
