No one who played Diablo1+2 back then would ask why someone is interested in the story of an ARPG. It's that those end game players don't know that you can have awesome gameplay while also having an awesome well presented story.

I like it allot better than base game, big change is you can finally rush to the end of most dungeons and kill bosses like you wanted to do.

I'm going to do the same thing I did with Diablo 3. Wait until they release everything for $20, then I'll buy it. I literally JUST got the Reapers of Souls expansion like a year ago because it came with the Diablo 2 resurrected, for $20 lol. Diablo 3 without the expansion is so disappointing, learned to just wait and get everything at once on sale.

Game is hot garbage, never again I will buy d4 expansion, going same way as d3. Yay for PoE 2 to save the day.

I think the game is great. yes, like most games, it has bugs. Guess what they are going to fix with the first big patch. It's a great expansion, it gives a good game a good boost in the arm. With opinions like yours, I can see maybe some sour grapes creeping in here from when Blizz showed you the door ?? Stop being a prima-donna and just play the game.

I play for the story. I've followed it all the way back from D1.

Story of ARPG is insanely important. It shapes the look of enemies and environment around you and it also motivates you to press forward.

Blizzard didn't fumble at all. This is a great expansion. People just don't want to enjoy anything these days.

As a casual player (i.e. not somebody that plays / reviews video games for a living) I'm quite enjoying the expansion. I don't have the time / desire / need to invest countless hours to finally build a character that feels reasonably powerful with non-uber gear. Some changes are meh, others (runes) are a welcome change. All the forums are jam-packed with people bitching about how easy the gameplay is - there's absolutely nothing forcing you to play OP builds / equipment. If it bothers you that bad, don't use it. The rest of us (those with a real life outside of a video game) are appreciating the endgame content without having to rob precious time away from real life activities. When it gets too easy, i'll try different builds / tactics. Simple as.

There's no such thing as making everyone happy, especially in the gaming world - deviate too much from traditional Diablo gameplay / look / feel, and the hate comes pouring in. Don't make enough changes and you're selling stale content. Don't get exactly what you want? Bitch endlessly to anyone online that will listen - the rest of us are playing. lol

In my opinion, diablo games is not the problem... we are getting older, and things we think that we're cool, isn't anymore. I can prove that. In diablo 1, ou character shove diablo stone in his head! The same problem we have now with eru betraying us. In diablo 2 we have Marius taking baal stone. Same problem of vessel of hatred writing. Maybe diablo 3 have the best storytelling? I don't remember dumb things the protagonists did. And I hate diablo 3, it's not my favorite game from the franchise. But saying about the stupid things like erus betrayal, if you read the diablo books or diablo 3 lore tomes, they explain that it's almost impossible regret when a primal evil shows compassion to you. Like Marius following the wanderer, like neyrelle mother following lilith , like erus accepting the trade with mephisto.

I was disappointed with Diablo 3, got it right after release and the game was unfinished, however I still enjoyed the story. It paid homage but the whole Magda thing had people rolling.
Diablo4 had low expectations for many people at the same time they have high expectations.
Nothing will be as good as Diablo 2 LOD. It's like how Thor's Dad did the cutscenes for Lich King. Nobody does shit that good anymore

Diablo 4 story line is made by A.I. and not T-Pain. I have not played diablo 4 and i don't think i will. Playing diablo 2. I have not bought anything since Activision bought Blizzard. Activision has cut corners for profit on developing there games. Pay the designers that have the passion for the games they are making you evil ass hats at Activision. Need to find writers in Asylum to write a Horrific diablo story of Hell.

The evade build is not the strongest build in the game. The quill volley build is the strongest build in the game. It's a new character paid character at that of course it's strong everytime a new paid character comes out in any game it's op. They get their money then nerf it. Comparing poe builds to diablo builds is comparing apples to oranges. Diablo builds are tied to a specific class you can only do builds based off what that class has. Poe is not a class based system I don't know what to call it gem based? You buy gems with skills and make a build out of it. Your character literally doesn't matter it's just the avatar you use. This is a terrible take on the dlc and the game as a whole. The game is doing fine plenty of people still play it regularly. So if you don't like later nerd it's a niche game anyway always will be.

GameOfThrones season 4+ were filmed before the books had been written, thus he was rushed to make the ending. That's why it sucked. D4 character progression sucks. It is too liner. No way to make a unique hero. Its the same every time. D3 suffered from this issue too, but not as bad. Blizzard should not have let the talent go that made D1 and D2.

D4 lost my interest as soon as i noticed all the awesome and cool looking stuff in the shop to buy and all the stuff that drops looks lame and the same.
why even grind for hours to get a sweet piece of gear when another person dumps some cash and looks way better.
i just hate ingame shops even if it are cosmetics

I don't understand why people are saying the base game campiagn was any better. The base game campaign was BAD, "Hey all the lords of the underworld are returning and lilith showed up saying she is needed to help stop it"
"Oh it looks like what she is saying is true?"
"Don't worry about that our biggest objective is killing lilith"
"No backup plan to the lords coming and killing everyone?"
"No kill lilith then take the one lord of hatred we do have and give it to the care of a 12 year old"
"Hey so we killed lilith but it looks like the lords are returning, also in killing lilith we also may have unleashed one of the lords"

How does this make any sense.
