Basic Audio Recording in LUNA Recording System

Soooooo really need some help. Have just been trying to record with an AKG C414 am ensuring phantom power is on, but the track is not showing level in Luna, despite level showing on the Apollo Twin x... Sm58 pulling a sound fine!! PLS help 😢

Making a daw and immolating a console is like driving ass backwards ! Old folks trained in old mixers are your target but new folks might not like going back in time to outdated consoles! I'd clean this up, and add features as needed ! You did a good job making a console !

Universal audio we need a dedicated big controller for Luna Something a little C24-ish That would match up good with the Apollo 16 I’ll definitely make the switch

Hello, very new to UA and Luna and DAWs in general. Is there a way to use an external midi controller for the transport controls? Don’t know if I’m using the right vocabulary...basically is there a way to start, stop, Record, toggle metronome on/off with an external midi controller/hardware? Thanks in advance!

Seriously slow down... Nothing like speeding through a new system to make you want to stick with your current DAW. Bad call. I suspect all the instructions are going to be present at break neck speed.

I installed it with my Apollo X and when I opened Luna it was more like going to a shopping website than a DAW, so I deleted it immediately

You lost me at "track types". Don't know why DAW creators feel the need to burden everyone with this antiquated concept.
Also no "new track on double-click in empty area under tracks"? Missed opportunity to speed up the workflow.

Mine doesn't start recording when I hit record. I have recording enabled, etc. Why is this happening????????

how do you "link" tracks like in console , that way you put plug ins on one stereo track vs on 2 mono tracks to save DSP...anyone? thank you

i was goin to try and record in luna and mix in ableton. ill save the head ache and do everything in ableton. this is a ridiculously intricate for no reason.. my luna looks nothing like this i cant find any of the buttons to actually record a session. or be able to load up a audio to record to so i can export back to ableton smh

Decisions, decisions. I'm liking Luna although I use ProTools and Logic Pro Most of all. But with my new Apollox8p, I'm falling in love all over again. I'll master this DAW very shortly because I think it's pretty intuitive. I'll keep you updated on the pros and cons of all 5 DAWs I use. Stay Tuned! Stay Fresh! StayFocused and Stay Rich !!!

The biggest bug in Luna is needing 2 dongles to work!! 🤮

Two minutes and ten seconds just to be enable to click the record button, it is much to complicate.

What if you don't want to use unison to bake then plug in into the track - but want to have it on there later? Is that possible to mix it down with the plug in baked in if you don't use unison? Thanks!

Hey! I am new to all of this - I have my Apollo twin and use a MacBook Air 2020, it seems it's not enough power between the fan noise, weird high pitch noise on playback, crashing etc. I know my core processor is i3 and minimum is i7 - my question is - is my new MacBook Air useless to run Apollo and Luna or can I simply add memory? Storage? Please help :(

If I have a criticism, it is that the narrator is speaking as if he needs to catch the 5pm express. Please get someone to do this video more slowly. It is after all a tutorial, not hip hop.

This video would be helpful except the LUNA display I have differs from the one in the video, like the "click to cue" button for example.
Its all extremely frustrating. ESP the fact that the click CONTINUES to be recorded in any track I record and I CANT figure out how to make it so its not recorded and just solely coming through my headphones.

What if you just want to record raw audio and just do different takes as is for voice over? None of the additional preparations and such.

Track versions are not supposed to be used for punching... When you Punch with Luna, audio are placed over the old audio with a "Send to back" and "Brign to front" functions... Theses layers should be more manageable.

Could someone "PLEASE" make a tutorial on how to create vocal templates in Luna? I can ad my own plugins but I would really appreciate someone giving me some insight on how to create vocal templates in Luna.

What I’d like to know is how you did a stereo screen recording? I’ve used black hole on pro tools but can’t seem to find a way to use it on LUNA. Any tips would be much appreciated :)

I see why I had trouble recording recently: I made four tracks when I was trying to select input #4 from the hardware mixer. 🤦‍♀

How do you record a stereo source played via midi? I’m trying to record a sound module with left and right out into Apollo. I’m only getting signal in one channel. Should I click the Link button or what . I’m stuck here

It is all a bit overwhelming for me...had the Apollo Twin for a number of years but only now am getting back into recording music and i have never used a DAW before, only a 4 track and a 16 track HD recorder, haha!
Seriously, how will i ever get sth recorded? ˘J˘

Is there a way to quickly patch inputs to tracks without going through each tracks ?
I record live show session with 64 tracks or more via Dante, AVB or MADI and going one by one is a massive waste of time.

Is there a trick to speed that process ?

I have just begun to understand its workflow and I am already enjoying .... you guys have put all the tutorial videos of the daw in one place that's again a great effort.... thank you

if sending midi out to a hardware synth for example, on a instrument channel, i know we can hear the audio on that channel, but how the heck do we record the audio in?

I'm trying hard to listen to this, but the narrator is talking so fast, I can barely understand him. I keep pausing it and rewinding it, I seriously can't understand what he's saying. This is frustrating because I want to learn how to use this product after buying it, and I can't understand him.
