i had a 68 galaxy that would only run if you gave it gas while cranking. if you pumped and then cranked, nothing, but if you started cranking and then tapped the gas it would fire right up. silly little 302!

Good job getting it to fire. The atf will do the job. I use Delco top end cleaner to break the seals free.

Phillips screws for bonnet hinges might actually be JIS which is slightly different and will drive you to insanity.

without a doubt, every video involving a rotary involves rebuilding the engine with new apex seals, if this doesnt and it still runs i would honestly be surprised cause if there was any compression leak it would be from the apex seals.

Kevin you should breed from that starter .its a good one I used to work on rotaries years ago. We had one customer that did a tune up and stuck long reach plugs in a 12a. The side electrodes got dragged around the housing by the apex seal it wouldnt start after that . He destroyedboth housings and apex seals in a bout half a second.

My first car was a '73 RX2. I ran the PISS out of it and never had one issue with the engine! Paid $4800.00 for it brand new and 3 years later sold it for 200 bucks. It was a "little" rough!
