Ram mpg on the trucks computer are never accurate. Everyone that owns one knows that. 😂
ОтветитьFind out what they are made of go over the top
ОтветитьI own the first gen 3.5 ecoboost xlt supercrew I love the low end torque. It pulls like a large diesel at lower speeds however fuel economy towing sux! I have 107 k miles still runs great. I'd buy another but I don't need to . I'm sticking with my 2011
ОтветитьI like the ford the best.
ОтветитьWas this an appearance test or towing. It was a dumb test
ОтветитьLove to see you rerun this test with the GM using the 3.0 Duramax.
ОтветитьPlease explain what the "TON" refers to.
Is this correct for Ford trucks.
Ranger 1/4
F150 1/2
F250 3/4
F350 Ton
F450 ?
F550 ?
Is the fraction of a ton supposed to refer to the payload?
Still relevant today for a good purchase decision. I actually don't like Ford at all. I've said it before and I will stand by it, I think they have some great products like mustangs (GT and up), the F150 Raptor is amazing (only raptor for me, not any other F- truck), now they have their Bronco, which seems like a beast but must proove itself on reliability, and the new Maverick whick I think is a great for the market, but I expected more from it and how it is designed (from the engeneering and functional stand point).
Now, I love LS engines and I love Hemi engines... but I don't love how cheap GM has gone on their engine design, quality control and durability choices. RAM, on the other hand, is known for 1 big flaw and nothing more... the lube problems that destroy the valve trains.
So, I guess I will have to go for the one that makes the most sense in my pocket and the seat my ass loves the most.
Why didn't yall use the V8 on the Ford, ain't V6 smaller and less powerfull than V8
ОтветитьA bit biased fellas. Which company bought your lunch? A v6 vs v8? Get real.
ОтветитьDoes Ram e- torque work for down hill.
ОтветитьThat ram is the ugliest truck on the road, just barely ahead of the new tundra. Ram looking like Sid the sloth from ice age 😂🤣
ОтветитьThe ford moved around more cause it was the only one still at normal highway speed
ОтветитьI’d love to work for these guys and help with these tests. Always have loved towing, and I’ve even made this exact run with our camper.
ОтветитьThe hemi v8 got better MPGs uphill than the turbocharged Ford V6... and did it 4 seconds slower... and looked better doing so... I mean really, what's 4 seconds going up a hill like that vs. The mpg... I'll take the Ram for the win as well... btw...what a gorgeous interior RAM 5th gens have...wow... Limited for the WIN on Interior
ОтветитьIf I knew for a fact that a used ecoboost (2.7 or 3.5) would be a reliable truck I’d strongly consider it. But every one near me is 100k plus miles and I’d be worried about timing chain, turbo failures
ОтветитьRam is a dog, the thing took a year and sounded like it was going to have a stroke getting up to speed, and they compared a Ram limited, a Chevy High Country, and a Ford Lariat..thats Platnum or King Ranch territory to be compared. Other than that, great video.
ОтветитьThey charge more and make more profit off of pickups because farmers are subsidized and have taken ten fold of government money then food stamps or any other welfare program ever has!!!
ОтветитьFunny how all the grading was on mirrors cabin noise and interior quality when the Ford absolutely crushed the other two in what was specifically a hill climb and descend test. Ford crushed the others in performance, but was graded last???
Ответитьwhen will you repeat this test with the newest model or have you and if so please provide the link
ОтветитьSo the Ford actually performs the best in towing but they knock it down with the subjective category. People don't like admitting how good Ford really is.
ОтветитьFor 2019;
GM’s design inside and out is 4 - ugly & disappointing!
Ford’s design inside & out is a 7 - comfortable, functional & appealing.
Ram’s design in & out is a 8.5 - great interior with comfort & body design the days are gone of keeping a truck looking like that classic design that stays for years so that takes a hit!
afm is horrible for motor. different temps throughout motor not to mention the clogs in the stupid afm components. if your gonna keep for 50k miles good longer than that your in for a big bill
ОтветитьHow does it compare going downhill with that weight vs the HD and SD lines gas/diesel? My 6.2L gas F350 has no trouble downhill, but the ecoboost line of 150's does better uphill. I like the safety of the HD/SD brakes and suspensions going downhill, but I have no experience towing my 7200# TT with anything other than my 350. My friend used to complain about getting pushed on the downhills with his 150 ecoboost and his 8200# TT. He jumped to a 350 diesel which seemed like overkill at the time.
ОтветитьBraking could also be subjective. The amount of pressure applied and time on brakes could vary.
ОтветитьAll trucks can tow, the question is how long will the truck last?
ОтветитьI have a 2012 F-150 with the V6 ecoboost and it runs super hot on this road and other mountain roads forcing me to slow down to 35-40 mph so I don’t overheat. Is this a flaw in the model year???
ОтветитьWhen it comes to trucks i say it like this. If u want a pretty truck but not the most capable get a gm, if u want a capable truck but not the most pretty get a ford. If u want a car in a truck platform get a ram
ОтветитьYou left out the Titan XD
ОтветитьShould have tested with the 5.0 f150, that would've been more fair.
ОтветитьSunburn hitch
ОтветитьWill you be doing another video on the 2024 trucks as I am looking to buy this year, but I am looking hard at the ram 1500 or tundra both 4door 4x4.
ОтветитьSomeone can’t read a tape measure lol
ОтветитьThat dial is awful though, i cant stand it.
ОтветитьThe electronic crao citidiots love it farmers want a truck
ОтветитьWhat a shit video
ОтветитьToday is July 22, 2024 so why don't you please update this review for 2022 and newer. 2019 is too far back you might as well delete the review as most guys aren't buying 100,000+ milers
ОтветитьBull Shit...
ОтветитьNo tundra?
ОтветитьHow does the truck know what speed to keep down hill? Cruise control?
ОтветитьWhen will Tundra be included in the competition?
ОтветитьI'll just say this, I work In a field where we tow for work. I don't see any Ram trucks. Ever. Coil springs are a big no no for long term towing. People are caught up in "technologie". All that translates to is problems down the road. Buy with your brain, not your eyes or ego, if you need a vehicle for towing....
ОтветитьSo I like the video but I got many questions why didn't you get a Ford with a V8 , isn't this a video on towing capacity not how comfortable or pretty the inside is and what is the max tow capacity for each truck vs the lowest
ОтветитьI have a GMC 6.2 I love it, tows great ,decent on gas, hauls ass and sounds great. Thanks TFL
ОтветитьI love the competition in the domestic truck market and has come up with some extremely capable trucks. Just a matter of what you’re exactly looking for in your truck. Doesn’t matter which brand you choose, I think you’ll be happy with either one. I like the Ram for looks, GM for ride comfort and Ford for power and options. If I’m looking to keep the truck for a while I’m picking the Toyota Tundra. Some have luck with a comparable Nissan Titan. Not a Nissan fan so not for me.
ОтветитьThe best half ton pickup truck for towing is equipped with manual transmission and a 4.10 rear end..... Wait a minute they don't make them like that.😢
ОтветитьRAM/Fiat clearly funded this video.
ОтветитьI have a 2017 3.5 ecoboost with a 10 speed. It's custom tuned on 93, and I will say that. Bought at 25k miles and am currently at almost 164k miles. The thing tows with ease. I tow stuff my buddies hem and haw about towing with their super dookies. I literally just got back from a 2k mile trip from NY to KY, then TN, and back to NY. Hauling a 34ft 8000lb camper. I could easily do 90+ up any hill on i81 with ease. Tow/haul mode with cruise set does everything any smart person who tows would do, but i didnt have to do anything. Maybe im biased but ford has ALWAYS made the best actual work/tow truck. 😊
