Making a SPACIOUS ENCLOSURE for Mature Male Tarantula

My dad bought me a tarantula without consulting me what I wanted and now I have an aphonopelma seemanni and I'm not very sure of what I'm in for its still tiny about 2 inches he also didn't get the right things for enclosure but it's the thought that counts I will just have to go buy the right things soon

I have 2 small Kotzman slings and if either turn out to be male they're still going into the same size enclosure. I haven't put so much effort into them to hide them away.

I used to be terrified of Tarantulas ~ when I was a little girl, I was playing in the woods when I stopped to rest placing my hand directly on top of a Wolf Spider (one of Ohio’s native spiders). But watching your videos, I’m really fascinated! Thank you for sharing that there is a beautiful aspect to them as well.

can you transport a tarantula from one place to another while its in premolt/moulting. And if so, how would you do it? Also, How do you transport tarantulas in general?

Does anyone have a female juvenile green bottle blue. My male died a week ago. Was hoping it was a female. Took it too a pet shop got it examined to see was sex it was. Would love a female so bad.

I just got a gbb slinger i hope its a female cause they live longer and she was a hundred dollars so

Hi petko sorry for asking a question on an old video, i have a male GBB who has just moulted, i bought him as a (labelled) sling but he was actually about 2-3 inches so maybe was closer to juvenile and I've had him close to 6 months. Like i said he has just moulted and after this moult i can now notice small spurs on his front legs so i assumed he has reached maturity, the only thing is he is around 3 inches now and only looks around half the size of yours in this video. I am just wondering if they can start to developed their leg spurs before they reach their ultimate moult or if this indeed means it was his last moult? He doesn't seem big enough or old enough to have reached the end of his life but i am beginner to the hobby so i am really not sure.

Can I send you a picture of my spider so you can tell me if it's male or female? I received the same spider from a mystery box. The first day I gave him a moth that he ate in front of me but from then on it stored eating. Now three days are passed since he last ate and I don't know what to do.

Why are both of yours so calm, mine is psychotic and very bolti plus it attacks the tongs if I need to get any dead feeders out I darent put my hand in the enclosure to get his water dish out to clean it I just top it up with water when needed.

I wish my GBB would web its enclose, I have juvie and been told males don't web so I starting think mine a male😔

My wife is TERRIFIED of spiders, so sadly i cannot have one, without getting divorced over it. She's afraid of the spider getting out in the middle of the night, hunting her down and killing her. Silly I know, but is there any way I could allay her fears?
