Why, you are' neve spoking of very courageous agents of the Polish consulate in Budapest, acting in complete clandestineness, because from the conquered and rebellious country, nevertheless managed until 1944 to get thousands of Jews out of occupied Poland and Hungary in very harsh conditions, because they had neither neutral status.
All the staff of this consulate, were arrested for their actions of saving the Jews, tortured and sent to Buchenvald, where they were savagely executed.
However, there was also a notable help from the Polish Consulate in Berne, Switzerland, which issued thousands of passports to Jews imprisoned in German Ghettos in occupied Poland.
And, filaly, in a way on a huge scale and unique in Europ,e beyond all imagination, hundreds of thousands of Poles from the Zegota organization (see Z. Kossak, I. Sendler, etc.) with the financial help of the Polish Government in London, saved however from the Ghettos hundreds of thousands of Jews in Polish families and convents, many of whom perished for this help.
Indeed, since 1940, the German law, unique in Europe, any kind of help to the Jews by the Polish people, even a slice of bread, was punishable by death.
Thus, tens of thousands of families, including children and babies, perished for their courage to have helped the Jews.
But in most of gretest documentaries about WW II, they no spoking about their very courageous aid, also the tragic fate of Polish people.
ONE THING FOR SURE, I PERSONALLY, WOULD NOT WANT TO LIVE ANYWHERE NEAR THAT AGE! NOT WITH THOSE MEMORIES. THAT HORROR & TRAUMA? NO THANKS. 😱
ОтветитьIt is nearly unbelievable how cruel and evil humans can be to one another if we allow ourselves to believe, follow, and participate in the sick plans and minds of tyrants. It has to be the greatest lesson we must learn in this world; the duty of every person. We don't seem to be learning it.
ОтветитьRest in peace ❤

ОтветитьIt's amazing that many humans have such a will to live that they will endure that brutal existence day after day, with eventual death a certainty, just to live another day.

ОтветитьWhat an extraordinary documentary of such a gentle soul. Peace and health to you dear brother. ♥
ОтветитьSometimes I wonder in all of human existence, why someone is born to a particular time, location, country. All I can come with is those that are born in a good environment (family, country providing freedom, food on the table, and opportunity to do any career), should yes, take care of their family but be the ones that make a difference in the world for others that do not have the luxuries or freedoms one has. I think that is the human duty. Not to identify by borders or country, but by the name of HUMANITY.

Historical facts are permanent truth.
ОтветитьDo NOT blur out history !
ОтветитьDoes anyone believe that Germans today are any less capable of doing this again ? They most certainly would and they are not the only society that is guilty of this ! Every society has been guilty of this type of behavior, even today, think about this . God bless this man who saw to much !
ОтветитьONE OF THE FIRST HORRORS OF WAR..
Ответитьi’m so thankful to these survivors for sharing their stories, so that we can be aware of the horrors inflicted, and hopefully never repeat them, gods willing. 🙏
ОтветитьHis cognition is incredible for 106
ОтветитьRest in peace sir😢.couldnt even think there were humans do such things like that 😢
ОтветитьI can’t imagine having been through that and then live so long to see it happening again, and know what it’s like and what is going to happen to the young people around you. Then imagine no one listens. We are doomed to repeat ourselves. Each time with more and better technology until at last we finally do ourselves in. Maybe a few stragglers will survive. But they’ll just make all the same mistakes again because humans are greedy and never satisfied with what they have.
ОтветитьSo we have to read the caption
ОтветитьBoris Pahor 26 AUG 1913 - 30 MAY 2022. May he and all other survivors of this horrible event rest in peace.
ОтветитьOutstanding documentary about an outstanding man.
ОтветитьWhat a survivor. God bless ❤ 🙏
ОтветитьAnd now the Slovenian people have a globalist EU regime betraying them.
ОтветитьFree Ursula!
ОтветитьCruelty is a self inflicting wound while kindness is its own reward. To those who inflicted pain and suffering, past and future, the bill comes due.
ОтветитьI want so badly to know what happened to these poor people and of each persons experience. I am a Canadian and was told of the Holocaust by my mother when I was 4 years old. I lived with this knowledge even though I was born in 1947. It horrified her and she had no other one to talk to about it. So I lived it in my young life and it left me scarred in my adult life feeling like I went through it in my memories. I appreciate his memories and the way he shapes it for us. My heart goes out to him. I pray to Jehovah for him and the rest of those poor people.
Suggestion... I struggle to read the words at the bottom of the screen. The background makes it impossible to see them and I can only guess what is being said. Can you please improve on this. His message is too important to guess at and miss. Thankyou for providing and sharing his experience with us.
R.I.P sir
ОтветитьHorrific....just horrific. The evil ones will pay.....past ,present, and future. Im a Christian in the US and I stand with Israel. 🇮🇱🇺🇸

ОтветитьThis documentary tells the story of the Holocaust through the eyes of Boris Pahor, the oldest living survivor of the concentration camps and still sharp at the age of 107. Pahor was a prisoner at Dachau, Bergen-Belsen and Natzweiler.
In an exclusive interview he talks about his fight against fascism and the Nazis. Pahor's testimony is supported by extracts from his extraordinary book 'Necropolis' and illustrated with drawings by fellow prisoners, creating a unique record of life and death in the only Nazi concentration camp situated in France: Natzweiler - 'the death camp in the clouds'.
Once viewed, this film is not easily forgotten.
