I had a new compressor put in my car, only to find the tubes are leaking behind my dashboard, and to pull the dash would cost $1,100. So I have a new a/c unit that doesn't do the job as it just loses the freon. My car is great, and I don't want to sell it, with low miles and no payments. I am looking for alternatives, and am wondering how frozen water bottles (like half gallon juice bottles), four or five, would help. With tight lids, there is no water mess. Would they at least lower the temp enough to be bearable? In the back seat with the windows closed or a battery operated fan back there with them. Of course, this means loose "stuff" in the car in an accident, so putting them into a cooler with the lid off might help and the fan blowing across. I'm in Florida, and getting into a car parked in the hot sun is like getting into an oven right behind the turkey. I am also wondering about putting frozen gel packs used for injuries on the seat before you get in to drive. Instead of trying to cool the car, maybe just cooling you would be more to the point. For long trips, a cooler with lid/ice with the frozen ice packs in them for rotation might help.
ОтветитьAlso running it this way may save you gas - car ac’s seem to drain gasoline fast. I one year drove car around with no ac in summer and it had to be 120 in the car that summer
Ответитьmy country 36/38/40 its very hot,can used it?
Ответитьnah, fuck this. I'd rather pay $400+ to get my A/C repaired.
ОтветитьYour In. hot Humid Car,The Water Coming From The Fan Will Not Allow The Sweat To Evaporate On Your Skin To Cook You Down
ОтветитьBeats paying 1800$ at the mechanic. Like what even. Good thing I’m the only one who’s in my car.
ОтветитьTryed it 2020..then its in da box...kaputtski chill.
ОтветитьYou must have ice with ya..
ОтветитьMy cars ac is da best.
ОтветитьIts children toy
ОтветитьPut ice in daa hat.
ОтветитьThanks so much. I'm now a subscriber
ОтветитьI've found that this can boost car air conditioning using it in tandem with the car's existing ac. At idle the compressor isn't driven as hard and this can offset the drop in engine speed. It would be interesting to take a small core for a water cooled computer and attach it to the evaporator to chill the water used for the swamp cooler. Many comments. Let's keep it going!
ОтветитьThanks for the review. You just saved me some money.
ОтветитьI live in the desert & have something similar. I bring a stainless steel cup with me into the office. I fill it up with ice & a quarter of the cup with water before heading out to my car. It holds up well & I don’t sweat one bit in 113 degrees. Either I’ve adapted to the dry heat or it proves to be a small solution.
ОтветитьI have one about to put it in this lemon sounds good
ОтветитьHelpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat review love the thermometer and specificity thank you for those details.
ОтветитьStarred at 89.2 ° after plugged in it was 91° lmfao nah that things terrible
ОтветитьWORTHLESS
ОтветитьIt's ridiculous that we're in 2024 and they haven't invited anything that can keep us cool but give us this little peace of Crap 🤦
ОтветитьDebating this for my mustang AC took a shit and since it’s a small coupe I think maybe it would help
ОтветитьYes but aren’t you supposed to put ice water to get cold air
ОтветитьIt's not a scam, i own 2, they work.
ОтветитьSo Its not an air-conditioner, its a swamp cooler..
ОтветитьThis is good news for car a/c mechanic maniacs to continue fleecing car owners with broken ac with diagnostics like:
Hole in pipe, add a blocker $$
Leak. Condenser fked up $$$
Relay fked up $$$
Pressure sensors fked up $$&
Oh we don’t know what’s happhappening! We tried everything!
mine is not working the plug in is not working?
ОтветитьThey should make a portable ac that's goes with the can ac
Ответить😡 its a scam. Save you money it's definitely not working 😕
ОтветитьTest with like a makeshift partition to separate front cabin from the rest of car
Ответитьsounds like a fail to me
ОтветитьI tried myself and yeah this isn't the answer...I'll try a few more ...and some other ideas...I spent over 1600 to get my air fixed ...the damn thing g still is broke. I'm now resorting to options like this.
ОтветитьJust open window or get a USB fan. This thing is not going to do much of anything unless you're in the desert and even then, not anything worthwhile.
ОтветитьWould those filters be damaged if they were in a cooler with dry ice?
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWhy does'nt work ,?? Because it is too small
ОтветитьI just want one to put next to my dog in my camper van. Not worried about cooling the whole vehicle
ОтветитьI can't believe that in 2024/2025, people are still asking this question, or hundreds of thousands of people are watching a video about these pieces of junk. Do not buy one or these. There are much better ways to actually stay cool in a car. If you think you can cool a car on a hot summer day, you're mistaken.
ОтветитьI wonder how well a couple chunks of dry ice would work?
ОтветитьUse ice. It's called a swamp cooler
ОтветитьIce In The Water Would Make A Greater Difference
ОтветитьYou must add ice dude without ice it will not work
ОтветитьThanks for the video excellent would be great if you could find something that actually worked actually worked for a DIY solution for cars lots of people have this problem have this problem of no AC in car
ОтветитьCzy twoim zdaniem nadaje sie do ciezarowki w UK do kozystania na przerwie 9 godzinnej? Po kakim czasie trzeba dolac kolejna wode?
ОтветитьArtic Air is a piece of crap! Just gets you wet!
ОтветитьIf it's 90 plus degrees, it would be wise to use ice water instead of cold warer.
Ответитьthe tech its call evaporative cooling and has some conditions to work, since it drops humidity in the air, you need new air flow, that means no close windows, and it's not cold air, just fresh at most, if the ai moves, and like he said , as soon as the fan stops, its a disgusting hot humidity, also if you point the fan to your belly, u r gonna go to the toilet. i hat one a 20 lts one and was just enough for the night
ОтветитьCan u put ice in it?
ОтветитьDeceptive ads and promises.... Junk Don't waste time or money.....
