In the bible it is said that Noah's eyes glowed. I would think that meant they were blue. If blue eyes were USUAL, then they would not have mentioned eyes glowing at all. There you go.

Two blues parents can only have a blue-eyed child, parents with brown eyes can have a blue, or green or mixed with blue green eyes, but to blue eyed parents can not have a brown, hazel eyed child.

How could one person with blue eyes multiply? I thought that the gene for blue eyes was recessive, meaning that if one parent has blue eyes, the child will have brown eyes. It seems that only a lot of incest could account for this.

Its impossible for all blue eyed people to have a common ancestor. Two brown eyed people can have a blue eyed child and a blue eyed person can have a brown eyed child. My mother had blue eyes but I don't, but she couldn't possibly have an ancestor that I don't also share! It may be more accurate to say all people of European decent or all Caucasians but more likely it would be all people with the recessive blue eyed gene share this ancestor, and this includes people of all eye colours and possibly even all races.

Caucasians are the only race that can have different colored eyes and hair and yet only homochromatic races are referred to as 'people of color". I never understood that.

The first person to have that mutation did not have blue eyes as this gene is recessive. But if his/her offspring propagated with other relatives blue eyed kids had grown up.

So that means my green eyed mother and brown eyes father also descended from this ancestor to carry this genetic mutation or at least one of them
