ОтветитьGreetings from Roumania.
ОтветитьThank you for all the work and great content God bless may Heaven consume you.
ОтветитьGreetings from Romania! I love your content, I love all the videos, especially those of Archimandrite Seraphim, Father Josiah and Father Paul Truebenbach! May God bless everyone!
ОтветитьFather Seraphim Johns is such a joy to listen to.
Ответить5 seconds in ... No... lol. May the segregation of Christian faiths continue! I'm a Christian, I was raised Catholic, I absolutely understand why many of the Christian Church's maintain a segregated stance.
I did get rather frustrated with a Christian friend of mine when I said that Catholics are Christian, but Christians don't have to be Catholic. She told me that Catholics weren't Christian, but believed they were just Catholic and resolutely refused to hear otherwise. In all honesty, I have reconnected with God and the teachings of Christ through Gnosticsim and I am grateful for the Lord's grace in guiding me back Him.
We should respect each other's traditions of faith. We should recognize there are still sensitivities towards how certain Church's treated each other in the past. But we should also remember we are all children of God, and today, more than ever, we should remain united as Christians against the increasing evils of this world.
"Tell me of your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith with my deeds" Book of James, one of my favourites. God bless.
I love listening to these videos with Archimandrite Seraphim Johns. May God bless him and grant him many years!!
ОтветитьGreat video !
ОтветитьThis priest is delightful
Ответитьthe explanation about layman's authority to cast out demons is indeed all I need. Fr.Seraphim John's tone of voice depicts humility and love.much gratitude🙏🏻☦️
ОтветитьJesus doesn’t say “ don’t worry about it” he says if they are not against us they are for us he doesn’t want to mention that part because according to orthodoxy everyone outside of orthodoxy is a heretic bond for hell
ОтветитьOur churches should be beautiful, but I do not believe they should be lavish. In my village we have seven churches where only two are regularly used, but all have to be looked after. Our bishops live in palaces, are driven around in limousines, and know for a fact that they are not as generous as they should be. Our island needs evangelising!
ОтветитьI have so much love for this priest, honest. He is a very sympathetic person
ОтветитьI am orthodox, where do I find these international charities that help out during big disasters? That sounds like an amazing way to help people in crisis!!
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful man. Glory to Jesus Christ ☦️
ОтветитьDo Orthodox share the same dates of major holidays as the rest of the world? Also what do you think about Day of the virgin of Guadalupe, Holy Week, Día de los muertos, candelaria, and epiphany. These are all holidays of my culture. Should I celebrate these if I am orthodox or is trying to Orthodox?
ОтветитьIf the One Holy Church is apostolic and the Catholic church has apostolic succession and has valid ordination, baptism, sacraments etc, It is not correct to not theologically recognise their fatherhood, their priesthood. You might not agree with the state of affairs of the Church as a whole, the Schism. But a valid priest is a valid priest, a valid Bishop is a valid Bishop (he might be an apostate, a fallen disbeliever BUT if the succession was valid, he is wat he is), no matter what apostolic branch. To not commune is one thing, this is clear why and this is a choice. But priesthood comes from God.
Ответитьi js love the prayer rope in his hand <3
ОтветитьGod help! Why am I still troubled by the sins I have confessed? Sometimes I just can't take it anymore. Pray for me!
ОтветитьDelightful, love his sense humor.
ОтветитьPongan subtítulos en español😢
No entiendo lo que dicen
The Greek orthodox church actually encourages there congregation to submit to the covid shot through the faith 4 vaccines program through the nih for money Plus the orthodox church doesn't give religious exemptions I know because I am a orthodox Christian and I am disgusted with the orthodox church 💰
ОтветитьGod be with you Fr. Thankyou
ОтветитьI like how the priest answered the question about charitable giving: the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Of course the church helps the needy when and how it can; you just never hear about it very much because you're technically not supposed to.
ОтветитьIt would be nice to interview a metropolitan or a patriarch! We could get insight on the governance aspect of the Church. Thank you
ОтветитьLol I told my priest i would return to church when i filled my car with gas so i was absent for two weeks
ОтветитьThe main differences between Orthodox Christianity and Roman Catholicism. the main things which keep our religions separate are:
Papal Supremacy, Papal Infallibility, The Filioque, Absolute Divine Simplicity, Created Grace Doctrine, natural theology, scholasticism, Original sin, sacred heart doctrine, Immaculate conception, Purgatory, Merits/Indulgences, evolution of Dogma, imaginative prayer, "beatific vision" etc
Then the Forced Celibacy of Priests, The use of Unleavened Bread in the Eucharist, The Adoption and change of the Christian calendar, The use of Renaissance statues, Pews, Child Communion, improper non immersion baptism, Cardinals, and differences in liturgical practices (Alter tables, Iconostasis, priest positioning etc)
all of those things, we say the Western Church adopted and innovated and became heretical when they adopted these things.
And we say that in the early church NONE of these things existed, there is no evidence of these things.
No examples of Papal Infallibility, No examples of merits/indulgences, and no examples of unleavened wafer bread, and such.
In fact in the west, In Rome. It looked a lot similar to how we Orthodox exist today. Our priests can get married, we use Icons and not statues, we use the old calendar etc
Orthodoxy Vs Roman Catholicism:
Energy Essence Distinction vs Absolute Divine Simplicity
Ancestral Sin vs Original Sin
Non Filioque Trinity vs Filioque Trinity
Patriarchy vs Papacy
Revealed Theology vs Natural Theology
Hesychasm Vs Scholasticism
Theosis vs Sanctification
Married Priest vs Celibate Priests
Infant Communion Vs Non Infant Communion
Iconography vs Statues
Full Immersion Baptism vs Sprinkle Baptism
One Baptism vs Confirmation Baptism
Leavened Communion Bread vs Unleavened Communion bread
Julian Calendar vs Pope Gregory's Calendar
We are not the same Religion, we do not have the same faith, and anyone who looks into either religions genuinely will see how different we are.
Thank you for your content. It has been very helpful in my journey into Orthodoxy
ОтветитьI liked everything you said except soda….it’s pop 😂
ОтветитьNice to see some humility within the Greek Orthodox churches - first time Ive seen that.
ОтветитьMay God bring us all together, time's are turbulant.
ОтветитьThe Latin need to come back to orthodox doctrines and patristique. Then we may go into communion. They need to return to the church of the first millennium.
ОтветитьMay God bring the orthodox back to Peter, the Stone, the first of the apostles.
ОтветитьWow, what a beautiful thing to do for the poor. Makes me proud of having been born into the Orthodox Christian faith. Exactly what Christ has asked of us. I am Ukrainian Orthodox, we were introduced to Christianity only a millenia ago through marriage between a Kyvian Czar and. A Greek Princess. Prior to the marriage we were Polytheist, worshipping a creator Goddess.
ОтветитьHow are we all doing what the father and the son wish ? “ so we they can become one?” No, I think it’s up to us not up to God when God has already expressed His wish for us to be one church … ⛪️ humans get in the way of Gods will … when are they going to get this???😢😢😢😢
Ответить🙏🇦🇺
ОтветитьWhy are we divided brothers? We should help and love each other; we are a community following the love and teaching of our Lord.
ОтветитьI am a Serb and I live abroad, some Serbs have become Greek Catholics. They did not give up their customs, they just converted to Greek Catholicism. There are Serbian Greek Catholics in America, Germany, and other western countries. It is rare for a Serb to be an Orthodox abroad. Why is no one talking about Greek Catholic ecumenism?
ОтветитьA common misconception is that the woman who anointed Jesus's feet with expensive oil is not the sinful woman who anointed His feet with her own tears. The woman who anointed the Lords feet with 300 denari worth of fragrant oil was Mary the sister of Lazarus who Jesus rose from the dead.
Ответить"Father, do you do exorcisms?"
"Yes"
"I have two kids in the car."
"Usually it starts with the parent."
Love his sense of humor!!!! 🤣😂🤣😂
God bless you father 🙏
ОтветитьIf you don't use beauty to celebrate the Most High, you will inevitably use it to celebrate yourself and the things of the world. Same with saints. If you do not venerate the heroes of the faith, you will celebrate instead the heroes of the world.
ОтветитьShouldn't call any priest father. There is only one Father the Almighty father.
