Please check out my Brilliancies playlist - embedded link top left of this video. These are among my favourite all time games - including some of my own efforts!

@chictomana Well it depends what you take from the term 'immortal game' - what do you take from the term to mean ?!

KC, thanks for several thingsabout this video: 1) thanks for these 'immortals.' In most situations I had never heard of the players and these games have been very interesting for not being the "super GM's" we are so familiar with. 2) Presenting this game in white's perspective. It kept me wondering until the end why it was so and if there was some brilliant comeback for white. Really made the calculating more important and the game less predictable... Thanks, and great commentary!

brilliant, pulling the white king right up the board.

got quite a few of the moves! 13:55 I was sure though that the continuation after the queen sac would win back whites queen with Kte5 check forking the king and queen.

KC, What is this g4 gambit you are speaking of I can't find any record of it on Fritz 12. Do you know the move order for it I'd really like to add it to my blitz repertoire. Thanks in advance. - Steffen

Actually you know what I figured it out. [Event "Blitz 5m"] [Site "West Newbury"] [Date "1995.??.??"] [Round "?"] [White "Elmi, Steffen"] [Black "Fritz 12"] [Result "0-1"] [ECO "D45"] [PlyCount "19"] [TimeControl "300"] 1. d4 e6 2. Nf3 d5 3. c4 Nf6 4. Nc3 c6 5. e3 Nbd7 6. Qc2 b6 7. Be2 Bb7 8. Bd2 Be7 9. g4 Nxg4 ? 10. Rg1 !

i literally didn't understand anything from this game until black's last 2 or 3 moves and even with the explanations you gave after white resigned i still didn't understand much of black's sacrifices. this is one of those games that rookies like me find very discouraging, cause it reveals that although i thought that by now i've learned a lot about this game, i actually learned much less than i believed.
